It was the next day.
As I woke up from sleep, I saw the blue and purple coloured egg lying next to on the bed. It wasn’t glowing anymore.
I backed away from it and got out of bed. Until I figure out what kind of creature is inside the egg, I am going to be wary of it.
"It’s a new day. I hope nothing crazy will happen today like the previous days of my life". I muttered as I stretched my hands.
After stretching my muscles, I walked towards the drawer and took out my signature saving pills. I repeated what I did yesterday evening and treated my back.
I returned to my human form later on.
There was a knock on my door. I could already guess who it was.
"Co inside, Valerie". I ordered her.

She wiped it away quickly and continued to say to , "After your mother told she had a dream, all of a sudden, she desperately wanted to visit the human city. As your parents were about to leave the shadows’ pack and visit the human city according to your mother’s wish, I followed them after begging your mother that I should co with them. We left the pack with so of the warriors, but before we could reach the human city, we were ambushed and attacked by rogue werewolves. I was ready to sacrifice my life for the Luna and the Alpha, but your mother was heavily injured. Your mother knew she would not make it, so she commanded to save my life, after ordering to stay by your side forever and make sure to protect you with my life".
"I am so sorry, Alpha Anastasia. I left the mansion and didn’t fulfill your mother’s dying wish in ti because I felt extrely horrible. I was there. I never knew that soone like her who had a strict face could cry like a baby.
I couldn’t tell if she was telling the truth, even though her story was quite convincing. I unblocked my mind - reading power and read her mind. My eyes turned red as I read her mind; ’It’s my fault! I turned away when I noticed that a drop of tear had escaped from my eyes.

I stood up in a hurry and was ready to run away and return to my birthday party.
"Young lady, you are troubled and worried, right? Ever since you turned five, you have been able to read people’s minds. You were naturally talented, so you easily figured out that you could block your mind - reading power by ditating. The last ti you read three people’s minds a day, you felt extrely weak and were scared to death because you thought you were going to die, am I right? After that mont, you have never used your mind - reading power again".
That was what the old woman said to . "How did you know all these things?! And can I get rid of the power?!". This was my question to her. I was desperate.

Despite feeling afraid of her, I agreed and sat beside her. I didn’t care. If she had a way to get rid of my power, I would trust her and do whatever she asked of .
That was my thought.
"You don’t have to go through that length to do whatever I ask you to do. You can’t get rid of the mind - reading power. This power ca to you because you are a special child". She told , shattering my heart beyond pieces.
I lowered my head in disappointnt before realizing sothing. I lifted my head and stared at her. "How did you know what I was thinking about?!". I exclaid.
"Because I am the first ever special child who received the mind - reading power. Though mine was different. I received my powers when I was a teenager like you". She said to with a smile on her face.
Although she was smiling, I could see the sadness in her eyes.
I wanted to ask her questions, but she shushed and said to , "You are ant for greatness, child. I am lucky I struggled and ca to you today. Don’t ever read more than five minds a day. If you dare do that, you will inevitably die. I am telling you this because it happened to . I made that mistake".
I honestly couldn’t understand what the old woman ant. If she made that mistake, why was she still alive?
Everything started becoming creepy to . I instantly stood up and backed away from her a little bit.
"Clara!". I turned to the house upon hearing my mother calling .
When I turned to the old woman, I could not see her again.
And ever since that night, I never saw her again.
