"Despite the terrifying future that I saw, I went ahead and brought you into this world, Clara, in the hopes of saving your life. Because of my actions, the instant the second chosen child was born into the shadows’ pack, both your existences intertwined with each other’s".
"What are you even saying?". I asked moon.
To , she must be talking nonsense.
"What I’m trying to say is that I shouldn’t have brought you to this world. You are the child of destruction. I should have never let you go, but I had no choice. Because I brought you out of the moon and into the world, after Anastasia was born, your existences intertwined. You aren’t supposed to be in this world right now. The Anastasia who died recently was a fake. The real Anastasia had died on the day her mother gave birth to her, because your dark energy overshadowed her newly born light energy".
I stood there looking at the moon goddess but didn’t say anything.
I was speechless and baffled. I started looking at the moon goddess and began to imagine that she had gone crazy.
Because, how the heck am I her child? And, I am the child of destruction. How?! Why?! She must be talking nonsense and telling lies to .
I massaged my temples, before my eyes darkened. "Truly, who are you? What’s your true identity? Why are you impersonating the moon goddess? Is it because I was desperate for an answer concerning my life that you told all this nonsense? Alright. You said Anastasia, who recently died, was a fake? How is that possible?".
"After the real Anastasia died during birth, a part of your soul entered the body and kept it safe. During the mont you died in that car crash, the part of your soul in Anastasia’s body began to dissipate. Though the body was very much alive. I couldn’t bear to lose you, so I took your spirit and put it into Anastasia’s body. As for your soul, I combined it with the one that was dissipating and also put it into Anastasia’s body, saving your life".
Hearing the moon goddess say that, I didn’t even know how to react to it. So, the brainless Anastasia who recently died, was ? A part of my soul?
"At that mont, I realised why the prophecy said two children of the moon goddess. That is because those two children are you. And it makes sense because you are my child. Anastasia was the child of light, but she was never ant to be alive. Her power all along, must have chosen you even before I brought you to this world. aning, you are now the child of light, and the child of destruction. If you are not careful, your dark energy could consu you and make you break the world. But if you do not allow the dark energy to control you, you will bring bright energy to the entire world with the light energy".

I plan to take you back to the moon, but I can’t do that right now, as you must fulfill your destiny first before you can return to the moon with . Until then, you are not allowed to die. Once you arrive at the moon, you will regain your immortality. You would be like . Never aging again nor dying. The only difference between us is that your physical body will remain physical, not spiritual like mine".

Despite all the things she said to , the only part I morized clearly was the fact that, one way or the other, I was the cause of Anastasia’s death.
I felt my eyes getting hotter by the second. Tears were ready to fall out of both my eyes. Seeing the serious look on the moon goddess’ face, I could tell she was not joking.
"My parents.... They are not my real parents?". The tears that gathered in my eyes fell on my cheeks as I muttered in pain. My throat felt dry and was hurting .
The parents I grew up believing were my biological parents turned out not to be my real parents.
The truth is so painful that it made my blood boil. I gritted my teeth because I was angry at my parents for lying to and not telling the truth.
For twenty-seven years straight that I had been together with them, I believed they were my biological parents. Hilarious. Am I even twenty-seven years old?
I regret knowing the truth. The truth is so bitter! I wish the moon goddess never told about the truth of my existence!

Deep down, I had a bit of hope in my heart that the moon goddess was telling a lie. I hoped I wasn’t truly her daughter.

Another question popped up in my head. I asked her again, "Why did you make Alpha Dylan the fake Anastasia’s mate? It was of no use for you to do that".

I paid a big price only by altering the prophecy and bringing you to the world ahead of ti. If I had not brought you into the world, you would never have the chance to bring destruction to the world. Though, if I view the prophecy clearly, apart from erasing the prophecy about the child of destruction, I did not change the prophecy’s outco. After all, you are destined to beco the two chosen children one way or the other".
"So, I am the cause of Anastasia’s death. So, our existences intertwined with each other all because she was ant to die while I took over her body and her destined power? Luna Allegra had that dream, not knowing that her daughter had already died, and the daughter she wanted to protect was , who had caused her real daughter’s death!". I hit my chest as I said this.
Later, I glared at the moon goddess. "If everything you said is really true.... Why the heck did you bring to this world?! Because of what you did, I beca the cause of soone’s death!".
"I had no choice, Clara. If I hadn’t taken you away from the moon after you were born, you would not have survived, because you weren’t strong enough compared to now. How can I watch that happen to you? Whose mother would silently watch their child die? I can’t do that".
"But because of what you did, a mother lost her own child". I said to Moon and she stiffened.
"I- I never knew that Anastasia would die because of you, Clara. But even though I knew it would happen, I would have done the sa thing over and over again without having any regrets. I would have saved your life without thinking about the cost". Moon declared.
For a second, the fierce look on her face scared .
