I remained sitting, as I willingly didn’t care to stand up from the sofa.
"Mrs Rita, why have you co to see ? Because I am quite certain that I didn’t ask for you". I said to her.
This was my first ti eting Mrs Rita in person, but her presence feels very familiar. Could it be that she was present at either the social event, the day I was made Alpha or during the ti of the competition? But why the heck would she be there?
The stick that was by Mrs Rita’s side. She positioned it in front of her, with both her hands on top of it. She chuckled lightly as she said to , "I apologize, Alpha Anastasia. I didn’t know that my presence would bother you".
I wrapped both hands on my abdon, and put one of my legs above the other. My gaze turned cold as I asked her, "Why are you here?".
The innocent look on Mrs Rita’s face beca creepy when she forced a smile on her face as she replied to , "I heard you wanted to do live coverage. So I politely ca by to ask what the live coverage was all about. It’s very unlikely for you to do live coverage. If I rember correctly, I learned from your mother that you hated the news and the TV news station that created the news".
I didn’t flinch after hearing what Mrs Rita said to . I quietly stood up from the sofa and went and stood a foot away from her. My eyes were fixed on her face. "So what if I had hated the news before? That doesn’t an I should hate it forever. If you do not know this, people change. My live coverage is my own business. So, be respectful and leave the sa way you got in".
Mrs Rita’s aura beca threatening and filled the entire vip room, as if she was challenging . So did mine.
Easily, my aura overshadowed hers.
I saw her flinch after I had unleashed my threatening aura against her.
’Unblock’. I commanded my mind - reading power. I knew my energy would get drained, but I just had to do it.
After my mind - reading power unblocked, I read her mind, ’This youngling before is truly Anastasia? Impossible’.
Mrs Rita was still smiling. She said, "Have a nice day and a successful live coverage, Alpha Anastasia".
Upon saying that to , she turned in a hurry and was about to leave the room.
I read her mind again, ’There is sothing terrifying about her! When I stared at her, it felt like sothing within her was staring at my soul!’.
After Mrs Rita had left the VIP room, I quickly sat down on the sofa and was panting fast with my hand tightening my chest.
Sweat was coming out of my body as if I had run a marathon.
I made sure to ditate for at least more than a minute, as I blocked my mind - reading power.
"I- I - I feel so weak. This mind - reading power has a real disadvantage. I- I shouldn’t dare read more than two people’s minds whenever I am going for battle. Because that might end up killing ". I forced myself to say, and when I suddenly rembered the ti I used my mind - reading power three tis a day, I subconsciously laughed at myself. That day, I really thought I was going to die. I thought that that day was the last of . Ha!
’But, what does Mrs Rita an by that?’. I thought to myself after my mind returned to Mrs Rita’s thoughts that I had read.
"Sothing terrifying about ?". I weakly muttered as I rested my head on the sofa.
Soon I found myself shutting my eyes, before I slept off.

I woke up, not knowing how long I had slept. Though I am feeling much better now.
But, standing up and staring outside the building through the transparent glasses, I saw that outside the building had gotten dark.
It should be evening.
’Why didn’t anyone wake up?!’. I quarrelled within my mind as I turned and walked out of the VIP room.
After leaving the VIP room, I went to find the general manager.
I found him in a studio room where different caras were already in place and were facing a glass desk and chair that no one was sitting on.
In front of the glass desk, the ’Geliya’ logo was carved on it.
Without needing to guess anything, I knew that everything in this room was ant for to do my live coverage.
I let go of the door and fully entered the room.
The six staff mbers and the general manager turned to , probably after noticing my presence.
"Alpha Anastasia, you are here. Everything is prepared". The general manager ca to and said.
’Tsk. He did not even ask how I made it to this place. What if I had lost my way in this building?’. I thought, before saying to everyone, "I am ready for the live coverage. Every procedure can begin".
I went and sat down on the chair facing the news glass desk.
"And we are going to go live in three, two, one". One of the staff said this, and I focused my attention on the cara.
"Hello, my werewolf citizens. For those of you who are yet to know my identity, I am Alpha Anastasia. Today, I am not here to address you as the Alpha. But, I am here to address you as a fellow werewolf citizen of the shadows’ pack".
"2 months ago was the first ti we saw the existence of hybrid creatures. A creature so horrifying to behold. And now, reality has hit us all. Not only the shadows’ pack, but the entire world".
"Our shadows’ pack has been attacked by the hybrid creatures before, and as I speak to you, more are coming into existence and will probably attack us again together with the wild beasts".
"Everyone, the beasts and hybrid creatures are running out of control. Our pack is no longer attacked by the rogue werewolves, but we are attacked by sothing more troubleso and terrifying. I sincerely need everyone’s cooperation. I need werewolves who would be willing to step up and beco warriors. We need warriors to fight those abominations".
"After having an ergency eting with the ten Alphas and the president of the human cities tomorrow, I, Anastasia, will join the warriors at the border soon and fight those abominations on the battlefield if they attack again".
"But, my fellow werewolves, how are we going to fight and win against the wild beasts and the hybrid creatures when we don’t have enough warriors? We barely have five hundred warriors".
"Tell , what would happen to your families, your friends and your loved ones and you, if those abominations defeated our warriors at the border and entered our city?".
"Let tell you what will happen. Many lives will be lost. Especially young werewolves, who don’t know how to defend themselves. But, if we had enough werewolves willing to beco warriors and undergo diligent training, our pack would have a chance of standing against not only those abominations, but also every other enemy out there that dares to attack us".
I finished talking and stood up.
After bowing my head in front of the cara, I left the news studio room without bothering to ask the staff how many views the live coverage got.
On my way out, no one dared to stop . They were only looking at as if I had said sothing which I wasn’t supposed to say.
