Gu Annan heard this and slightly furrowed his brow.
Back on the mountain, Lu Wanwan had ntioned she heard the conversation through the walkie-talkie.
It was just that the situation was urgent then, and he didn’t have ti to think about it.
Now, being brought up again, he felt so doubt in his heart.
Was there an issue with the walkie-talkie that allowed Lu Wanwan to hear their side of the conversation?
“So which part did you hear?” He mockingly retorted, “You wouldn’t really think that I’d let him dictate just to save you, would you? If that were the case, I wouldn’t have still shot at him, unaware of your life or death.”
Lu Wanwan swallowed back the words she originally wanted to say.
Later on, he did indeed not agree to the kidnappers. After learning the real reason behind the kidnappers’ desperate move, he decisively said goodbye to the kidnapper.
But saying these things now wouldn’t change anything.
She still had an unresolved issue inside her, wanting to understand his reason for rejecting her seed completely aningless.
“Is there anything else?” Gu Annan saw her start to speak and then stop, interrupting, “If not, I’m leaving.”
“Nothing else.” Lu Wanwan put the dicine box back, “Since they’ve returned safely, I’m relieved.”
Gu Annan stood at the door of the room, hearing her voice seeming to have made a certain decision, “One more thing.”
His expression beca heavy, unsure of what she planned to say.
The doctor’s words ca to his mind.
“After I settle their emotions in these two days, let’s go to the civil affairs bureau.”
After a mont, he responded with an “Uh-huh,” but couldn’t say another word, lifting his steps to leave.
“Mr. Gu, your assistant has brought your clothes… Mr. Gu, are you leaving? Young Master Mo and Miss You haven’t woken up yet. I’ve already had breakfast prepared, please change your clothes, have so food, and wait for them to wake up before leaving.”
“I have sothing to take care of, I won’t wait.”
“They were talking about Mommy and Daddy when they ca back yesterday; you should let them see you.”
Gu Annan was completely unmoved by Qiu Wenpei’s words, his voice growing more distant.
“No need. I’ll send soone to pick them up later…”
The door to the room wasn’t closed, so Lu Wanwan listened until their conversation ended.
Qiu Wenpei watched Gu Annan leave, helplessly knocking on the door, “Miss Lu, breakfast is ready.”
Lu Wanwan finished arranging the dicine box, nodded nonchalantly, “I’ll be right there.”
By the ti she went downstairs, Gu Annan had already changed and left.
“What happened to Mr. Gu?” Qiu Wenpei set out breakfast, “When he ca earlier, not only was he injured, but he was also soaked in rain, covered in a mix of water and blood, I don’t know if the wounds will get infected. He was clearly badly injured, wanting to wait for the two kids to wake up, but now he left so hurriedly.”
Lu Wanwan picked up a piece of bread, eating without appetite.
