"No need. Has she eaten?" When Xiao Ye ca out, he only saw Lu Wanwan’s back as she entered the room and it quickly vanished.
She truly seed to not want to see him even for a mont.
Perhaps Mo Han was right.
Aside from using so ans, he was completely helpless against her.
"Miss Lu? Not yet." Lisa said enthusiastically, "But I’ve already prepared it. Mr. Xiao, aren’t you going to eat with her?"
Lisa rembered that Lu Wanwan previously said not to tell Mo Han, and although Xiao Ye wasn’t Mo Han, she still didn’t ntion the child.
"No need, you go ahead."
Lisa nodded and carried the dinner into the master bedroom.
"Mr. Liancheng, your dinner."
"Just leave it there." Xie Liancheng sat on the bedroom sofa, rarely lighting a cigarette.
"Mr. Liancheng, how can you be smoking?" Lisa gasped, unable to shut her mouth, "The doctor said you shouldn’t smoke."
"Just this one." Xie Liancheng frowned deeply, "How’s Miss Lu?"
"She’s back in her room." Lisa placed the dinner on the table, "Mr. Liancheng can call her to eat together."
Lisa noticed his mood was so low, hoping soone could accompany him for dinner.
Though Mr. Liancheng had always lived alone, he hadn’t felt so down in years.
Even when he just got diagnosed with a terminal illness, he remained so strong and optimistic.
"And the child." Lisa thought of the child, Miss Lu had ntioned that Mr. Liancheng would know, if only the child could bring joy to him, "You can have dinner with them, mother and son."
Xie Liancheng lifted an eyebrow, "What child?"
"Miss Lu’s son, a very, very adorable Chinese child." Lisa smilingly recounted the afternoon’s events.
Xie Liancheng stood up, "Child, her child."
Lu Wanwan’s son was his grandson.
A indescribable feeling surged within him.
Originally, he thought that his remaining ti in this world would pass by as lonely as the past twenty years.
Perhaps this was his punishnt for being too resolute when he was young.
Who would have imagined that he would find out at this mont that he actually had a daughter, and now a grandson.
"Her child is already this big." Xie Liancheng didn’t know much about her affairs, Lu Wanwan only spoke to him about matters related to Ye Jing; she barely ntioned anything about her own life.
But she had a child, what about the child’s father?
"Lisa, do you know who the child’s father is?" Xie Liancheng asked further.
His grandson’s father was his son-in-law.
Even though it seed that this daughter, upon hearing about that matter, might never acknowledge him as her father whom she had never t.
He wanted to compensate as much as possible, yet sadly he didn’t have much ti left in this world, hoping soone else could take better care of her in the future.
As long as soone could take good care of her, even if this man was down and out, he would make him ascend swiftly.
"I don’t know." Lisa said regretfully, "This child only ntioned that his father wasn’t in the United States. He ca here looking for Miss Lu, and right now Miss Lu is the only relative he has here. Is there sothing important, Mr. Liancheng?"
"Not in the United States, so... it’s not Xiao Ye’s." Xie Liancheng furrowed his brows.
Previously, from between Mo Han’s lines, he seed to sense that the relationship between Lu Wanwan and Xiao Ye was unusual.
Could it be because her previous man was unkind to her?
