Mu Xing stared at the empty street in front of the villa, "No way..."
The driver’s recent job is to shuttle her around, right?
What could be so urgent?
"Yeah, he just left a while ago. Seems like sothing ca up at ho, and he left in a hurry," Auntie Li suggested. "Miss Mu Xing, why not have Young Master Bai drive you? If Young Master Bai isn’t planning to leave right away, I can call the Gu Family’s driver."
Mu Xing pressed her forehead in frustration, "Could you please call them for , Auntie Li, and ask the driver to co and get ?"
If her legs were completely fine, it wouldn’t matter if she walked from here.
But there’s no "if". If there were no problem, she wouldn’t need a driver.

"Well, Miss Mu Xing’s driver had an urgent matter and left. But she’s not quite able to manage on her own, so I was going to call the Gu Family’s driver to co pick her up."
Bai Lingyun glanced at Mu Xing, musing, "I see."
"Yes, that’s right," Auntie Li replied, finding it slightly odd.
Young Master Bai is usually quite nice, why didn’t he just offer to give her a ride?
"Young Master Bai, leaving so early? You might as well take Miss Mu Xing along. Waiting for the driver could take a while," Auntie Li added helpfully.
Miss Mu Xing never asks for help, she’d never say it herself.
"Alright." He responded slowly, pointing with his finger, "Get in."
Mu Xing was frustrated, how did she end up having to get into his car?
After a brief hesitation, she heard him again, "Just a few days, and you’re drawing the line?"
"No..." Mu Xing’s mind was in chaos, but directly answering with a clear line would seem too cold-hearted. She opened the passenger door, "I just didn’t want to trouble you."
"It’s nothing. I’ve been dealing with it for so long, not having trouble would feel unusual."
Auntie Li laughed, "Oh, so you know each other. You should have said so! Young Master Bai, take care on the road, don’t drive too fast, Miss Mu Xing’s legs aren’t in the best condition."
Bai Lingyun gestured with his hand, "Got it, Auntie Li. If her legs get hurt again, I’ll be the one troubled."
Mu Xing grumbled inwardly, he’s really nosy, so eager to take on responsibility.
The car pulled away from the Gu Mansion, driving leisurely, like a sightseeing vehicle savoring the scenery.
Mu Xing glanced outside the window for a mont, then turned, "Why are you driving so slow?"
"Are you in a hurry?"
"I... I’ve been helping with Young Master Gu’s wedding preparations recently, pretty busy, but not super pressed for ti either."
Bai Lingyun rested one elbow on the fully open window, his other hand lightly touching the steering wheel, "When did you turn into an errand runner? Rushed back from the United States, I thought you had sothing urgent, sothing they really needed you for. And in the end, you tell this?"
