Bai Lingyun looked at her silent expression, "Do you think I’ve suddenly beco domineering and unreasonable?"
"Yes." She nodded.
He suddenly let out a cold laugh, but his voice was much softer, "I should have done this earlier. Rember, one month’s ti."
"But..."
"No buts, no excuses." He casually put his hands in his pockets and said lazily, "If you want to object, there can only be one reason."
Mu Xing was dissatisfied with him, so she asked, "What reason?"
"Say that you hate , never liked , have no feelings for at all, and that you never want to have anything to do with in this lifeti." His gaze was cool, and he spoke slowly, word by word, "If you say that, I’ll let you go and promise never to bother you again, nor require you to pretend for ."
Mu Xing’s lips moved, as if she saw his eyelids twitch a little, but she couldn’t speak.
Bai Lingyun felt a rare sense of nervousness.
He was never one to do things he wasn’t certain about, just like in the past, he never showed any feelings to Lu Wanwan, because he knew it was an unrequited crush with no outco.
Regarding Mu Xing, he couldn’t pinpoint when he started paying attention to her.
The few months they spent together passed naturally, but when Mu Xing said she wanted to leave, he began to think about certain things.
He didn’t hold her back because he felt they both needed ti to calm down and think.
Having spent so much ti together, he had nearly grown accustod to it.
Once Mu Xing truly left, a large void appeared in his life, making him feel like sothing was missing.
He initially wanted Mu Xing to understand her feelings for him, but this girl, whose feelings were a blank slate, seed oblivious.
She always managed to give a reasonable explanation that had nothing to do with him for every attempt he made to get closer.
But he firmly believed there was no way she felt nothing for him.
Choosing this mont to speak up was both unexpected and expected.
But once he truly began to speak, he beca uncertain; what if he was wrong?
It was a level of nervousness he hadn’t felt in years; even when shooting his first comrcial or signing his first contract, he was calm.
Now, faced with a girl he was confident liked him, his palms began to sweat inside his pockets due to nervousness.
He had already spoken, and now he truly worried she might repeat his words back to him.
"I’ll give you five seconds. If you don’t say it..."
"Bai Lingyun." Mu Xing looked tense and frightened, like a startled young deer.
Her interruption made Bai Lingyun even more anxious.
"Think carefully; this is your one chance. Repeat that sentence word for word, and from then on, we part ways."
Mu Xing opened her mouth several tis, as if struggling intensely inside.
"Three, two..."
"Alright!" Listening to the countdown made her nervous, so she slowly adjusted her state, her expression serious, "I admit, I can’t say that sentence. I also admit, my feelings for you might be... a bit strange. I don’t dislike you, nor have I said I wanted no part of you..."
"What strange feeling? That’s liking!" Bai Lingyun’s expression remained steady, but his tightly clenched hands finally relaxed, "One month, after one month, I need to see results."
Mu Xing thought for a mont, one month’s ti should be enough for her to figure things out.
"Okay." She nodded.
