The receptionist shook her head, "No, she’s not like that... Also, our President Shen isn’t that kind of person. Maybe I just got it wrong; she took a sick leave today, so it probably wasn’t her."

It was already quite late, and Gu Ziyou, sitting in the passenger seat, gradually fell asleep.
The car drove into the community parking lot and stopped, Shen Lingfeng didn’t get out imdiately, nor did he wake her.

The security guard smiled and greeted them, thinking it was fortunate he didn’t insist on tying up Miss Gu to call the police last ti.
That day they must have been joking around, this totally looked like a couple.
"Here we are, aren’t you getting out?" The elevator stopped at Gu Ziyou’s floor.
"President Shen, am I not going to your place? Wasn’t there sothing else?"
"Go rest, we’ll discuss other things tomorrow," Shen Lingfeng looked at her exhausted face, clearly ready to fall asleep as soon as she hit the bed.
She didn’t refuse, instead giving a grateful smile, "I’ll head to bed right away, won’t be late tomorrow!"
Exiting the elevator, Gu Ziyou thought back on the evening.
Seems like her job as an assistant wasn’t anything particularly demanding.
What was her job today?
Accompanying President Shen to the supermarket, having dinner, watching a movie...
"ngng, I think my BOSS hired a personal assistant not because he’s short-staffed, but because he’s too lonely and needs company."
"Are you going to sleep with him? Think carefully!"
"...That’s not it, just keeping him company for als, shopping, movies, etc. He’s pitiful; he doesn’t seem to have any friends."

Gu Ziyou still didn’t think the BOSS wanted to pursue her, otherwise he wouldn’t be so stingy with his smiles, always pulling a long face, and rarely talking to her.
It’s because she knew many similar people, realizing that while they might not lack companions that appear to be friends, they actually lack true friends.
