Lu Wanwan took a shower, and it was past eleven when she ca out of the bathroom; the bedroom was empty.
She felt terrible, as if she had suddenly fallen from the clouds and crashed painfully. It wasn’t because the dinner was canceled; she couldn’t adapt to the sudden change in his attitude.
It was much later when Gu Annan finally entered the bedroom; the room remained dark without the lights on, engulfed in deep shadows.
His body wrapped in a faint sll of smoke, his face hidden in the darkness, his eyes somber, making his handso face look particularly grim.
