“Ah, I forgot about that,” Lu Wanwan hurriedly took it, “I was saying I should have gone myself; my desk drawer is such a ss.”
“Are these things important?” he asked, eyeing her unchanging expression.
Lu Wanwan thought for a mont, then flipped to reveal the succulent from inside, “If I have to say what’s important, it’s this, which I’ve raised for half a month.”
When she took it out, the notebook on top was lifted.
She caught a glimpse of a yellow box beneath in the corner of her eye and suddenly panicked, swiftly putting the succulent back.
That was a box of contraceptives she had bought previously, thinking that Gu Annan would end up staying at her place, because she was worried about the strong side effects of morning-after pills.
Yet before she had the chance to take it back ho, it had been left at the office.
“What’s the matter?” he noticed her abrupt movent, Gu Annan asked indifferently.
“It’s nothing, I’m just thinking… maybe this could be placed on your office desk,” she said holding the box of miscellaneous items and hurried over to his desk.
With her back turned, she took out the succulent again and used the notebook that was on top to cover the box of contraceptives again.
She sighed in relief and on reflection found that she shouldn’t feel so guilty about this, as her action was purely subconscious.
“Gu Annan, inside this…” she began.
“Hello,” Gu Annan picked up a phone call, “Father?”
