This small hall at the corner of the second floor was actually not in use, and the lights inside were dim.
Even the ceiling light on the balcony had just been turned on.
Standing in the dark, his eyes as profound and distant as the night itself, exuded a chilling indifference that blended seamlessly with his expression.
Despite several ters of distance, Mo Yuan could distinctly feel the stern warning conveyed by that gaze.
“Sorry, we’re conducting an interview here,” Mo Yuan said, as Gu Annan did not speak.
This was a public place, after all, and they had no right to send anyone away.
Besides, it was apparent that this man was no simple character.
Lu Wanwan’s lips were tightly pursed, her heartbeat intense.
She hadn’t expected Gu Annan to follow her persistently; had he been waiting for her outside the restroom earlier?
“This is where you’re conducting an interview?” he walked to the edge of the balcony. The light falling from the ceiling lamp intensified the sternness of his face. “One would think sothing shady was going on here, if they didn’t know any better.”
Mo Yuan heard his tone was quite unfriendly but dared not show any anger.
Having struggled in the entertainnt industry since childhood, he was neither naive nor arrogantly foolish.
After a deep glance at Lu Wanwan, who stood silently by his side, he eventually conceded, “It’s really just an interview, but it’s getting late. I’ll take my leave now. Miss Lu, perhaps another ti.”
Mo Yuan felt rely standing there made it hard to breathe under that man’s imposing presence.
He had done nothing wrong, yet the feeling this man gave him was as if he had committed so unforgivable cri, deserving to have his hands chopped off.

Gu Yunsi watched as Gu Annan entered an unused hall, then a man erged from inside, his forehead slick with sweat.
“Wait, is there soone inside?” she asked.
Mo Yuan, just having breathed a sigh of relief, saw the demanding tone in the woman before him and casually replied, “Yes.”
He was about to leave but decided to caution her, “Don’t go in, it’s not good to disturb.”
What exactly would be disturbed, he had so guesses, and he believed the woman understood his aning as well.
Having witnessed various dealings in the entertainnt industry, he couldn’t imagine other possibilities.
Gu Yunsi frowned, “Is there another woman inside?”
Mo Yuan gave her a perplexed look; wasn’t that obvious?
“Is it a woman wearing a black tube dress?”
He nodded, lacking the patience to entertain such questions, and then descended the stairs.
Gu Yunsi felt uneasy. Her cousin hadn’t been involved with a woman in years. She had thought that even if her cousin didn’t particularly like her cousin Man, as long as he wasn’t opposed, things would eventually work out over ti.
Given the family pressure and the impossibility of remaining single all his life, even if it was a marriage of convenience, her cousin Man was the only option left.
Grandmother had even ntioned that at the grand birthday in two months, she would formally pressure Gu Annan. Yet, at such a ti, he seed to have taken an interest in soone else.
Gu Yunsi found this inappropriate and imdiately went downstairs to consult her cousin.
