After about half an hour of waiting and watching Dr. Song Ning busily move between the instrunts and computer,
she finally sent so data out and then straightened up.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” Dr. Song Ning said, her tone still flat, and her complexion looked a bit haggard.
Lu Wanwan, sitting to the side, noticed sweat beads forming on her forehead; she must have been without rest for a while.
“I’m sorry, Dr. Song, for disturbing you while you are so busy,” Lu Wanwan apologized sincerely.
Dr. Song Ning went to the water dispenser, poured herself a glass of water, drank it in one go, and then filled another glass before speaking, “It’s okay, you coming to see must an it’s not a trivial matter. I’ve nearly finished with the busy work; just transmit the results to him.”
“You Chen, my cousin?” Lu Wanwan heard the reference to him and sensed a subtle tone in her voice, chuckling as she did.
It was then that Dr. Song Ning’s expression softened slightly from her usual icy deanor.
She took a tissue, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and poured another glass of water for her.
“A small matter, but he probably needs the results urgently. How is your child?”
“He’s very healthy now,” Lu Wanwan took a deep breath, clutching at her chest, “I really don’t know how to thank you, for you making that trip to the United States specially.”

It happened that Bai Youchen was in the United States and had brought Dr. Song Ning, which thankfully ended without danger.
“It was the least I could do,” Dr. Song Ning’s eyes flickered slightly as she lowered her eyelids.

“Is cousin still in Europe?” Lu Wanwan clutched her water glass, “I rember he ntioned that once that matter was settled, he could co back to stay with you… I heard it’s almost done.”
Dr. Song Ning put down her water glass, “It’s almost sorted, but there was a recent complication. I never really want to pry too deeply into his affairs. Let’s talk about you.”
The expression on Lu Wanwan’s face suddenly beca complicated, “Dr. Song, I… I feel like there might be sothing wrong with my body.”
