The Jiabao Group hosting this press conference is a fashion icon, an enduring luxury brand. Every year, its new product launch invites celebrities from various fields to attend.
When Lu Wanwan arrived at the venue, it was exactly half-past seven.
She wore a black dress of a simple design that was neither too casual nor too formal.
A badge hung on her chest, differentiating her from the female guests attending the banquet.
Even so, when she arrived at the main banquet hall, she still attracted quite a bit of attention.

Just as she was about to continue reviewing the list, she suddenly rembered that Gu Annan had given her a phone, instructing her to keep it on 24 hours a day.
That phone had felt almost non-existent given that only Gu Annan knew its number.
She had even forgotten to switch it back on after previously turning it off.
She imdiately stopped paying attention to the guest list and took out that phone, powering it on.
After the startup screen, indeed there was a missed call.

Even though there was just one missed call, she put down the guest list she had intended to continue with and dialed Gu Annan’s number.

Listening to the chanical voice on the phone, Lu Wanwan felt a headache coming on.

She abruptly rembered a director nad Wei Cheng.
"Just asking, if you’re not interested, let’s forget it." She imdiately beca aloof, not even wanting to engage him further.
Even in such a glamourous place, normal people wouldn’t dare act out of line.
"If you’re interested, will you be the one to do the interview?" the man asked with a smirk.
"No," Lu Wanwan replied, her voice even colder, putting even more distance between them.
The man felt embarrassed, and his improper intentions faded.
After all, it wasn’t worth losing face over a woman at such an important event.
