Chapter 955: Chapter 955: Stop Teasing, No Seduction Allowed (Part 2)
So nervous, her heart was racing.
The closer she got to him, the more she felt like her heart was about to leap out of her throat.
Useless, Lu Wanwan scolded herself silently a few tis.
She was wearing a white gauzy nightgown, without showing too obvious an intention, she chose a proper, ankle-length dress.
“Then it’s nothing.” Gu Annan didn’t look at her, still appearing focused on his work, “If it’s nothing, go to sleep.”
“Aren’t you coming to bed?” Lu Wanwan stood by the desk, her fingers nervously intertwined behind her back, “It’s so late, how much work is left?”
Faced with this obvious temptation, Gu Annan’s expression beca even more tense.
“A lot.” His thin lips moved, his fingers on the keyboard increasing in speed, the rhythm becoming noticeably chaotic, “You don’t have to wait for .”
“Just as well, I can’t sleep either, I’ll wait for you here.”
His hand stopped, “You said the sa thing yesterday, but who ended up falling asleep quickly?”
Innocence showed on Lu Wanwan’s clear and flawless face, “Even asleep, it didn’t affect you.”
“And in the end, who carried you out?” He lifted his gaze, his eyes eventually landing on her.
“You could have woken up, I didn’t ask you to carry .” Lu Wanwan initially wanted to say, “So what if you carry ,” but fearing it would be courting death, she rephrased with a bit more propriety.
Gu Annan squinted his eyes slightly, his face darkened, and his tone was cold and stern, “Then you went to the daughter’s room to sleep until morning, didn’t you? Lu Wanwan, you can continue to do that today.”
She leaned tightly against the desk, her fingers drawing circles on her skirt, “She won’t let sleep in her room today.”
“Is that so?” Gu Annan’s gaze returned to the computer, saying indifferently, “Then sleep wherever you like, just don’t be in front of .”
Damn, so it turns out she was driven out by the daughter and ended up wandering in front of him.
“You’re unhappy today, she asked to co cheer you up.” Lu Wanwan moved closer, leaning against the edge of the desk, facing Gu Annan.
Even if she moved a little bit closer, their arms could touch.
“No one can cheer up.” He resud his work, his face cold and unfeeling.
She lowered her head, looking at the man who wasn’t paying her much attention, frowning in frustration.
Thinking back and forth, it was that quick remark she made, focused on whether the antidote for Wen Qiao’s poison had been found.
From that mont on, Gu Annan’s face seed like it could scrape off a layer of frost at any ti.
She extended her fingers, quietly reaching toward his arm.
On one hand, she felt he was making a fuss over nothing, his bad temper so pronounced, yet she hadn’t done anything to him.
On the other hand, thinking about how she used the antidote without telling him, she felt his impending wrath might not be sothing she wanted to provoke.
“Stop ssing around.” Gu Annan’s arm shrank back, giving her a warning glare.
For so ti now, he had tried hard to keep his distance from her, strictly forbidding this kind of teasing behavior.
Especially today, this behavior felt like adding fuel to the fire.
Because today, he could have done the sa to her as with Wen Qiao, but when it ca to it, he still didn’t dare.
Her life and health would always be more important than anything else.
He couldn’t take that risk; he wasn’t willing to gamble with it.
“Go back to sleep, I’ll co later.” He had a stern face, his tone less emotional and more serious.
“No, I’m waiting here.”
Gu Annan’s frown tightened, his eyes blazing with fire, glaring at her, as if he could swallow her whole with that look.
