"Uncle, you really don’t mind Lara?" Sophie Foster crawled out from under the covers, her bare body pressing against Nicholas Croft’s chest. "I don’t mind," Nicholas pecked her lips. He had the ability and the power, so he didn’t care about his wife’s family background or past; what he cared about was his own feelings.
Looking at Sophie Foster’s playful look, he suddenly rembered sothing important, "Lara, that day, in the hotel, on our first ti, why did you have a hyn?" It was because of the hyn that he dismissed the notion she was Sophie Foster.
"Hehe..." Sophie Foster laughed slyly, "It was a replacent."
Nicholas Croft’s eyes narrowed dangerously. He flicked his cigarette into the ashtray and pinched Sophie Foster’s chin with his slender fingers, asking with a half-smile, "Was it just to deceive ?"
"Yeah, that was the plan," Sophie nodded with a smile. Nicholas’s eyes narrowed again, "What if I wasn’t interested in you? Wouldn’t all your effort have been wasted?"
Sophie shook her head, "Not afraid, because I would have thrown myself at you anyway!"

On their wedding night, reunited after a long separation, just once could not satisfy the longing deep in their hearts. The moonlight outside shone through the gap in the curtains, casting the shadows of two figures on the wall who eagerly engaged in the oldest of activities.
The newlyweds woke up the next day already in the afternoon. After having lunch, Nicholas brought Sophie to the Hargrave Family with gifts.
Although Sophie had always resisted, Nicholas felt that the formalities should not be neglected, especially since he had so connections with Henry Hargrave over the years.

Seeing the newlyweds enter, Josephine Hawthorne snorted in displeasure and turned her face away. Henry Hargrave nodded slightly at the two of them, "You’re here."
"Mr. Hargrave, this is a token from Lara and . Please don’t mind." Nicholas placed the gift box on the coffee table.
Technically, he should address him as "dad" following Sophie, but after hearing about her background, Nicholas couldn’t bring himself to say it, so he continued to respectfully call him "Mr. Hargrave" as before.
"Have a seat," Henry said lightly. The two of them were about to sit in the sofa when Josephine suddenly swept the gift box off the table with her arm.
"Take this junk back! Our Hargrave Family doesn’t need your gifts!"
Facing Josephine’s shrewish behavior, Nicholas pulled Sophie to sit on the sofa and raised his eyebrows, speaking with dignity, "Whether Madam needs it or not, it’s a courtesy we must observe. If Mr. Hargrave weren’t Lara’s biological father, I wouldn’t even bother with this formality."
"Josephine!" Henry scolded displeased, "What are you doing? Don’t you have any manners of a lady?"
"Manners?" Josephine scoffed, popping up from the sofa abruptly, her finger pointing at Sophie as she yelled at her husband, "My son-in-law was snatched away by this little bitch, why should I have manners!"
"Shut up! I’ve told you countless tis! Lara is also my daughter!" Henry angrily slamd the armrest of the sofa, veins bulging on his forehead.
"This little bitch dares call herself that!" Josephine criticized disdainfully. On the sofa, Sophie glared at her indignantly, trying several tis to retort but was held back by Nicholas each ti.
