"Alright, I’m back, you don’t need to keep my wife company."
Nicholas Croft handed his coat to Aunt Wang and walked over to the sofa. Panda Eyes let out a reluctant whine, jumped off the sofa, and went to play on his own.
"Uncle, why are you back so early today?" Sophie Foster pushed herself up from the sofa as Nicholas also sat down, wrapping his long arm habitually around her waist.
"There wasn’t much to do, so I ca back early. Did you have much nausea today?"
Nicholas’ gaze fell on Sophie’s face, bare of any makeup, and he raised his hand to gently smooth the stray hair beside her ear, his eyes soft and gentle.
"Just once." Sophie lowered her head, her small hand resting on her already rounded belly, gently stroking it.
Nicholas’ large hand also lowered, and with a tender smile said, "Let have a word with our daughter."
Sophie released the shoulder straps of her maternity pants, lifted her loose maternity wear, exposing her round belly, her lips curling softly with maternal tenderness, "Baby, Daddy’s ho."

Seeing his jealous wife, he chuckled helplessly, rubbing her head, "What are you thinking? The baby is the baby, you are you."
"But don’t they all say daughters are their father’s love in a past life!" Sophie said sowhat displeased. After the baby ford, checks were done at Evander Lancaster’s hospital, revealing she was a girl. Sophie was delighted for quite a while, as she loved girls, imagining them in pretty floral dresses, tied with lovely bows, and with long lashes like hers...
But looking at Nicholas now, she’s worried, worried that once the baby arrives, Uncle won’t love her as much.
"Silly girl," Nicholas sighed with a laugh, pulling Sophie tightly into his arms, his hand cupping her head, their cheeks pressed together, saying, "Haven’t I always treated you like a daughter, why compete with our baby."
Nicholas rarely spoke sweet words, but every casual remark he made touched Sophie deeply.
She pouted indulgently and asked, "Uncle, will you love forever?"
"Yes, Uncle will love Lara forever, and always treat Lara like a daughter." Nicholas’ large hand again resting on Sophie’s belly, gently stroking as he said, "Lara is Uncle’s big baby, she’s the little baby."
Sophie felt blissfully sweet inside, turning her face to Nicholas, pouting and acting spoiled, "Uncle～"
Nicholas pecked her lips gently, not yet pulling away, when Aunt Wang erged from the kitchen with prepared food, smiling at the affectionate couple, "Sir, please dine first, your wife was still nauseous before you got off work."
"Alright, let’s eat." Nicholas rose from the sofa, holding Sophie as they walked to the dining room.
It was normal for Aunt Wang to see the couple being affectionate, so she thought nothing of it.
