After lunch, a few people sat on the sofa and chatted for a while before Evander Lancaster got up to leave. He could see Sophia Hamilton’s unease in front of his family, and besides, bringing her back to et the parents was just a formality, simply to let Sophia know he was serious.
Seeing the two get up, Violet Zimrman also spoke up, "Evander, let the driver take Sophia back, you stay here, I have sothing to say to you."
Evander Lancaster understood his mother’s intention, as it was all within expectations. He didn’t refuse and nodded, "Okay, I’ll send her out."

Seeing her son’s nonchalant manner, Violet Zimrman placed the teacup in her hand heavily on the coffee table and said reproachfully, "What kind of attitude is this?"
"Attitude?" Evander Lancaster handed his cotton coat to the maid, sneering as he walked over, "Mom, did I misunderstand? Didn’t you keep here to discuss Sophia’s matter?"
"Mom, speak nicely, Evander didn’t say anything wrong." Robert Lancaster advised from the side, then glanced at his wife, who understood and quickly got up saying, "I’ll go upstairs to check if the baby is awake."
Violet Zimrman took a breath, clearly suppressing her displeasure, and picked up the tea again, speaking in a calm tone.
"Evander, I heard from your uncle about this girl’s family background. You should be clear in your heart that our Lancaster Family would never let a girl with such family background through the door."
