Evander Lancaster held the steering wheel with one hand, his arm trembling along with Sophia Hamilton’s movents, as the black Bentley darted toward the oncoming car.
Sophia hadn’t yet realized the danger, still covering Evander’s mouth, while he quickly pulled his entwined hand free, hastily turning the wheel and deftly maneuvering apart from the two cars just before they collided.
The black Bentley drew a curve on the road like a dragon, causing Sophia to tumble back into the passenger seat. Thankfully, she was wearing a seatbelt; otherwise, she might have slamd into the car door.
"How are you driving?!" Sophia accused dissatisfaction, completely oblivious to the thrilling scene just monts ago, while Evander let out a relieved breath. Just now... If he’d reacted a bit slower, the consequences were unimaginable.
Although Sophia’s stubborn behavior almost caused an accident, he couldn’t bear to bla her. More than ever, he didn’t want to burden her, so he looked at the road ahead and smiled.
"Hold on, let’s wait until we’re ho to get cozy."
"Shaless, who wants to get cozy with you!" Sophia glared at Evander, slightly lowering her head in an evidently shy manner.
In T City, there are only a few cinemas, one in the city center and one at the entertainnt plaza. However, Evander was heading nowhere near any of them. When the buildings ahead beca clearer, Sophia finally realized, "Weren’t we supposed to watch a movie? Why are we heading to your place?"
Indeed, less than a hundred ters ahead was Evander’s apartnt. Although the last visit was at night, Sophia still rembered clearly.
Evander glanced over, his handso eyebrows raising slightly, "Who said watching a movie always requires going to the cinema?"
Sophia pursed her lips wordlessly; his words weren’t entirely wrong.

"Take ho, I’m not going to your place!" She certainly didn’t want to walk into the wolf’s den again.
"Too late." Evander raised his eyebrows at her again, speaking as the Bentley had already reached the community gate. The barrier slowly rose, and the black Bentley smoothly rolled in.
After parking in his designated spot, Sophia turned to walk back the way they’d co. However, Evander grabbed her back with one swift motion, pulled her into his embrace, and teasingly flicked her nose, smiling,
"Where do you think you’re going, little one?"
"I want to go ho, let go of !" Sophia stubbornly responded, yelling and struggling. The last ti she was taken here, she’d been thoroughly devoured. This ti... Hmph! This guy definitely doesn’t have good intentions!
"Do you think I’d let the prey about to be in my mouth escape?" Evander raised his handso eyebrows, smiling, and without giving Sophia a chance to struggle further, threw her over his shoulder like a sack and strode toward the apartnt door.
With a startled cry, Sophia was already hanging upside down on Evander’s back. Having just had dinner, her stomach pressed uncomfortably against his shoulder, while her limbs fluttered around in mid-air, "You jerk, put down... Did you hear , I want to go back!"
"Behave!" Evander raised his hand and spanked Sophia’s rear lightly, not too hard but with a noticeable sound, "Don’t wake the neighbors!"

Instantly stopped fluttering, her little face turning bright red, not from hanging upside down, but from getting her butt slapped by Evander.
Once they were inside the elevator, Evander finally set her down, while Sophia, whether from a tantrum or shy embarrassnt, intentionally moved aside to maintain so distance from Evander.
