With a stern face, Evander Lancaster said harshly to Willow Lancaster, "Do you still rember I’m your second brother? Are your actions really appropriate between a sister and a brother?"
Willow felt even more aggrieved, her pouting lips resembling a chick’s backside, as she watched Evander Lancaster with tears streaming down her face, as pitiful as could be.
"Would you accept if I weren’t your sister?"
"What nonsense are you talking?" Evander frowned in displeasure and reprimanded, but Willow suddenly grabbed his hand resting on the desk, her emotions appearing agitated.
"Second brother, I like you, I’ve liked you since middle school. I’m not your sister. We have no blood relation..."
Evander squinted his phoenix eyes slightly, not pulling back his hand, feeling that the information in his cousin’s words seed quite significant.
With a slight curve at the corner of his lips, Evander spoke calmly, "We’re cousins. How could we not have any blood relation?"
"No, we’re not!" Willow anxiously shook her head to explain, "I’m not Dad’s child, so we have no blood relation at all,"
Upon discovering the "secret," Evander withdrew his hand, crossed it on his chest, and crossed his legs with a faint smile, saying, "Willow, so things are better left unsaid. You know, if our third uncle hears this today, imagine the consequences."

It seed like she just realized what she had said, and she stepped forward again, grabbing Evander’s crossed hands, squatting in front of him, sniffing with panic and pleading, "Second brother, please don’t tell Dad, and don’t tell anyone, okay?"
Evander raised an eyebrow slightly, "Promise you won’t pester anymore in the future."
Facing Evander’s gaze that seed both playful and threatening, Willow pouted again in grievance, "Second brother, even without a blood relation, you still don’t want to like ?"
"Congratulations, you guessed right." Evander raised his eyebrow again, looking nonchalant, lowering his gaze to see Willow’s pitiful little face, continuing, "Even if you weren’t my cousin, even if you were a wealthy heiress, I wouldn’t like you."
"Why?" Willow asked persistently, and Evander replied firmly, "Because I already have soone I like!"
"Is it Sophia Hamilton? What’s so good about her?"
"Perhaps in other people’s eyes, she has nothing special, but in your second brother’s eyes, she’s a treasure, an irreplaceable existence, understand?"
Willow said nothing more but pouted in grievance again, tears flowing down. Evander took a deep breath and leaned forward to help her up, "Go back. Don’t think about pursuing anymore,"
Worried the little girl might not give up, Evander added a threat, "If you dare pursue again, I can’t guarantee your secret won’t reach our third uncle,"
"Please, second brother, I’m begging you, I won’t pester you anymore." Willow stepped forward again emotionally, while Evander waved his hand impatiently, "Alright, alright, second brother won’t say a word, just head back,"
Willow responded with an "Oh," wiped away her tears with her hand, and walked out of the office with her head hanging low.
As the office door closed, Evander sneered coldly, thinking to himself how wonderfully complicated the Lancaster Family is, with the Lady tangled up with her uncle, and the third household raising soone else’s daughter. He wondered what kind of immoral acts he committed in a past life to be born into such a family!
