,"Carry, are you listening to ? Tell your location, I’ll co and join you." Over the phone, Jon persistently cajoled. At that mont, Nathan Moore’s tall, elegant figure appeared on the stairs, holding Olivia Zane.
Her arms, as delicate as lotus roots, tightly clung to his neck with a playful yet coy expression, which made her joy unmistakable.
"Am I not here to pick you up?" Nathan’s helpless voice rang out as he carefully descended the stairs while holding Olivia, his concentrated expressions deepening Titus Zane’s disdain.
"And you still say, if I hadn’t proactively called you, you probably would’ve forgotten about !"
"How could that..." The two chatted as they descended the stairs. Though they were bickering, there was an undeniable sweetness in their words.
"Carry, who’s speaking?"
Every creature harbors hostility and keen alertness towards the sa sex, like Jon, who instinctively considered the man in Titus’s phone conversation as a romantic rival upon hearing a male and female dialogue.
Titus snapped back to reality and curved her lush lips into a smile, saying, "Oh, that’s my sister and brother-in-law."
Nathan paused mid-step and together with Olivia, looked towards the hall.
On the sofa, Titus held her phone close to her ear, speaking to soone unknown, with a slight smile playing on her lips...
"Nathan~" Olivia tugged at Nathan’s sleeve, "Hurry up and take downstairs, my sister is back!"
Titus was still talking to Jon. Over the phone, Jon’s teasing voice ca through once again.
"Oh? Is it that man? Do you want to co over and handle him for you?"
After a mont’s hesitation, Titus slightly tilted her head and casually adjusted her brown, wavy hair, smiling flirtatiously.
"Sure, if you’re up to it."
"Tell the address." Jon’s voice turned serious. Titus gave him the approximate location of the Zane Family house, and then heard Jon say, "Don’t worry, wait for to co protect you!"
The call ended, just as Nathan had managed to bring Olivia down the stairs. His tall, commanding presence passed by Titus towards the double-seater sofa beside her.
"Sister, how co you didn’t say hello when you ca back?" Imdiately after Nathan set her on the sofa, Olivia feigned disappointnt and pouted at Titus.
Titus smiled, "I talked to mom on the phone."
"Mom didn’t tell !" Olivia pouted unhappily. Nathan quietly sat beside her, and Olivia then turned her face towards him, draping her hand over his leg, "It’s all your fault, always keeping in the room. I didn’t even know sister was back!"
It was a seemingly ordinary statent, but if analyzed carefully, the underlying content inevitably stirred deeper thoughts.
Nathan reluctantly curved his lips, his gaze unintentionally shifting towards Titus before quickly looking away, courteously saying,
"Yes, it’s my fault."
That night, after watching several movies, for so reason, he inadvertently imagined the female lead’s face as Titus’s, and himself as the male lead...
Since that night, seeing Titus again made Nathan feel like he couldn’t look her in the eye.
He felt guilty.
Olivia turned back, "Sister, stay the night at ho today. The two of us can share a bed and talk about what’s on our minds."
Titus slightly raised her eyebrows, her eyes laden with profound aning, "You’re not planning to go back? Decided to stay at ho with ?"
"Ah?"
Based on past experience, Olivia thought Titus would refuse. Unexpectedly, she turned the tables. The situation was so sudden and beyond her expectations that for a mont, she didn’t know how to react.
