Evander Lancaster continued chatting with Felix Shaw, noticing that all the chips had already been put back into the drawer, the light in his phoenixlike eyes dimd.
Once Felix Shaw closed the drawer, as if worried it wasn’t shut tight, he gave it another shove, and shalessly claid, "What do you an by withhold? It sounds so unpleasant. She’s my wife, taking good care of these important items is my responsibility as a husband."
"Oh! Third brother, you didn’t say that two years ago." Evander Lancaster made no effort to hide his sarcasm, his chin lifted as he drew on his cigarette and his gaze deliberately swept over the drawer at Felix Shaw’s face, "If I rember correctly, at that ti you treasured Elizabeth White as if she was a precious jewel in your palm and called the woman at ho an ugly toad lusting after swan at!"

Evander Lancaster turned his phoenixlike eyes toward Nicholas Croft, with a clearly sly smile in them.

Instinctively, Felix Shaw guarded the drawer filled with chips with his hands.
"You’re not coveting the chips I won, are you?"
Felix Shaw is good in many ways, values brotherhood, but lacks finesse in gambling; if he loses money, he gets flustered, and if he wins, he hurries to lavish his woman with gifts and dinners, overly generous.
"Tsk tsk, truly shaless." Evander Lancaster shook his head with a sigh, tossing his cigarette butt into the ashtray, then turned his gaze, "Yours? Do you have the face to claim that?"

The two of them chatted back and forth, every word uttered was sothing Felix Shaw had once said.
Felix Shaw clenched his teeth in anger, nodding continuously, "You two are ruthless!"
He yanked open the drawer with a bang, and before reaching inside, he didn’t forget to bargain.
