Dinner wasn’t at a Western restaurant; Wesley Foley took Titus Zane to a Chinese restaurant instead.

They chose a spot by the window, sitting face to face.

After a few days of interaction, Titus Zane realized that Wesley Foley was a low-key man who didn’t indulge in luxury.

In Wesley Foley’s own words, sotis in order to develop a new product, he would work tirelessly for days and nights, living in the research institute. If he were a man who enjoyed luxury, how could he endure such hardship?

In fact, Titus Zane felt the sa way. She valued quality of life but not luxury, because high quality of life and luxury are fundantally two different concepts.

For instance, when she was with Logan Ray, she would carefully prepare each al exquisitely, yet it wouldn’t necessarily be expensive.

People who care about quality of life enjoy life while also understanding the need to give.

After ordering and finishing their al, Wesley Foley drove Titus Zane back to her apartnt. Before getting out of the car, Wesley Foley, his gentle eyes smiling, asked, "Won’t you invite up for sothing to drink?"

Titus Zane...

The car door was already half-open; facing Wesley Foley’s tender gaze, her intended refusal ended up as, "Alright, if you don’t mind."

"I don’t mind." As he spoke, the corners of Wesley Foley’s lips noticeably lifted. After Titus Zane got out of the car, he parked in an empty spot below the apartnt and quickly got out without unbuckling his seatbelt, walked up to Titus Zane, and accompanied her into the apartnt building.

Back in the apartnt, Titus Zane hung up her bag and coat. Wesley Foley also took off his velvety trench coat, draped it over his arm without any intention to hang it up himself.

Glancing at him, Titus Zane extended her hand, and Wesley, draping his coat, handed it over. Titus Zane sighed, "You!"

Picking up the coat and turning around, she heard Wesley Foley say, "Letting you practice a few tis might get you used to it."

The mont Titus Zane was hanging the coat paused briefly, but only for a few seconds; she hung up the coat and did not respond.

Turning back, Wesley Foley had already settled down on the sofa, slightly raising his elegant brows, looking very innocent.

"I’m soone who doesn’t understand the pleasures of life, so I only have plain water and red wine here, which one would you like?"

It’s not that she didn’t understand pleasure, but she simply had trouble sleeping. If she drank tea or coffee now, she might as well give up on resting altogether.

Wesley Foley pouted, raised his eyebrows, and his expression was rich—finding it funny that a woman who loved red wine would claim to not understand pleasure.

However, he did not voice it out, instead slightly furrowed his brows and pretended to contemplate, "Red wine then, having a glass at night helps with sleep."

"Alright, just a mont," Titus Zane said as she turned and headed to the kitchen. Soon she returned to the living room holding a bottle of wine in one hand and two wineglasses in the other.

She placed the red wine and glasses on the coffee table, then turned back to fetch the corkscrew.

Wesley Foley casually picked up the bottle of red wine, glanced at the label and year, and raised his eyebrows again.

A modest woman claiming she doesn’t understand the pleasures of life—it was funny that such expensive red wine, costing thousands, would be considered a luxury for an ordinary office worker. He really didn’t know what industry she had been in before.

Painter?

He had never heard of a painter with the sa na as hers. An ordinary office worker?

It seed her taste in clothing and her level of consumption surpassed that scope.

Wesley Foley was a bit puzzled, but the more mysterious a woman was, the more she aroused a man’s curiosity.

When Titus Zane returned to the living room with a corkscrew in hand and placed it on the coffee table, she said, "Sorry, I didn’t prepare a decanter, so we’ll just make do."

While red wine might represent a taste for others, for her, it was rely a sleep-inducing liquid.
