At this mont, on the other side of the ocean, inside a Western restaurant, Felix Shaw was still using his intelligence and good looks to compete with a male mistress.
He took the wine glass that Mia Foster had drunk from and raised it towards Steven British.
"Cheers, to my wife’s male bestie. Thank you for gracing our wedding anniversary celebration, and I wish you find your other half soon."
Mia Foster was thoroughly impressed by Felix’s shalessness, while Steven’s mind was still in a traffic jam and couldn’t believe that the guy had boldly clinked glasses before elegantly drinking the red wine.
When the glass was placed back on the table, he turned his handso face to her, his gentle eyes and brows looked profoundly refined.
"Wife, should we go ho and close the door to start making little ones?"
After saying that, he even added a "hmm?"
Mia Foster shivered at the sound.
Despicable man!
No wonder he’s always surrounded by all sorts of demons and ghosts - with that mouth of his, as smooth as if it’s oiled up, it’s unbearable.
While feeling revolted, the arm around her waist tightened again, and before she realized it, Felix had lifted her, bowing slightly to Steven in a gentlemanly manner.
"Sorry, my wife’s male bestie, we’re off to enjoy our love. Order whatever you like, it’s on ."
With that, he left with Mia Foster in tow, under the bewildered gaze of the latter.
Western restaurants abroad are different from those in the holand; each guest dines quietly, and even occasional exchanges are in hushed whispers. Hence, even if it’s against her will, Mia Foster doesn’t dare to scream and shout, much less to cause a scene in such an elegant environnt.

Being escorted out of the restaurant by Felix, Mia raised her handbag and lashed out at him relentlessly.

Damn it, she knew he was putting on a show, knew that it was all for Steven’s benefit, that today was not really their wedding anniversary, but his words had sohow touched her. She felt the urge to beat this liar to death!
After being ignored and neglected by him for so many years, just a few words from him had managed to move her heart.
"Crazy woman!" His grip on her wrist tightened, and with one hand, Felix restrained both her wrists, his face twisted in gritted anger, completely unlike the gentle good man from just monts before, and dragged Mia toward the parking lot.
"Just wait and see how I’ll deal with you when we get back!"
"Felix Shaw, you bastard, let go of !" Despite her full-force struggle to pull away, how could a slender woman compete with a tall, robust man? Her high heels clicking on the ground, she was forced to run along to the side of the street.
"Need help?"
A night patrol officer approached them, unable to understand Mandarin but noticing the two in a scuffle, ca over to inquire.
Caught in the mont, Mia was ready to call the police, claiming that the man was trying to kidnap her when, before she could speak, Felix ahead of her had already explained to the officer with a smile.
"Thank you, today is the anniversary of my marriage, and we’re in a hurry to get back and celebrate."
Felix spoke fluent English with a fancy accent that even stunned Mia Foster.
She rembered the man as nothing more than a playboy who continually changed won and saw no remarkable rits in him.
Leaning on his family’s established empire, he loafed around at the company, idling his days away, without any significant accomplishnts to his na.
Yet, what Mia Foster hadn’t expected was that he actually understood English, and spoke it fluently.
As Felix forcibly dragged her along, what she could see in her line of sight was his semi-profile, with smooth lines and slightly curved thin lips, maintaining the appearance of a polite gentleman.
