Tilly Zimrman is indeed shrewd. Concerned that Wesley Foley’s subordinates would continue to target her CEO with a drinking barrage, she hurriedly raised her glass as soon as she saw the empty cup set down.
"Co on, everyone, you all have been so polite offering toasts, now let toast on behalf of our CEO!"
Giggling, Tilly Zimrman raised her glass, but Wesley Foley’s two subordinates seed unimpressed, giving her smirking glances without any response or agreent.
Titus Zane really couldn’t stand it anymore, stood up, took a glass, and cheerfully said, "Manager Huang, Secretary Liu, it’s discourteous not to reciprocate. Since Secretary Zimrman is toasting in place of Director Moore, we should give her face."
With Titus Zane making his point clear, the two, albeit reluctantly, had to stand up. Seeing Wesley Foley remain seated, Tilly Zimrman blinked and then shot him a coquettish glance.
"What about you, Director Foley?"
Worried that Wesley Foley might refuse, Tilly Zimrman jokingly said, "What, did I scare you last night? Surely not that badly."
If they wanted to get her CEO drunk, then no one was getting out unscathed.
Tilly Zimrman once again initiated the self-sacrificing tactic of ’damage a thousand enemies, harm yourself eight hundred’.
Wesley Foley rely smiled without saying a word.
Whether it’s said he’s scared or not, trying to get him drunk again would be tough.
However, Wesley Foley underestimated Tilly Zimrman’s ability. Seeing him unaffected, she raised her glass, whining as if between friends.
"Director Foley, that’s not fair. Just now, Secretary Liu toasted Director Moore, and Director Moore didn’t mind. Now you’re just sitting there, what are you trying to say? Do you look down on my lower position? Not worthy?"
If Titus Zane was straightforward, then Tilly Zimrman was even blunter, essentially saying: Your secretary toasted our CEO and he drank, so are you not going to drink when I toast you?
Right after Tilly Zimrman spoke, she received a reward from her CEO – of course, it was in action.
Already drunk, Nathan Moore’s one hand was still hanging by his side, his shirt collar pulled even wider open, his handso face pale, eyes blurred as he leaned on the back of his chair, exuding a sense of abandon. His other hand, resting on the empty glass like it was propping up its weight, lifted after Tilly Zimrman’s comnt, and in front of everyone, landed on her rear, giving a light pat.
It was a very natural gesture, without any hint of avoidance.
Manager Huang and Secretary Liu exchanged glances, their eyes clearly surprised.
No wonder this busty woman dared to speak so bluntly; turns out she’s... involved with their CEO, huh?
Wesley Foley smiled, indifferent to Nathan Moore’s action, stood up and grabbed a glass, "Here, Secretary Zimrman, this one is for you, wishing you a swift ascent to glory!"
Tilly Zimrman was montarily stunned, then realized the implication behind Wesley Foley’s words, laughed embarrassingly, and said, "Thank you, Director Foley."
After finishing the drink, Titus Zane sat down and kept silent, her eyes downcast, absentmindedly picking up vegetables with her chopsticks. However, the usual curve of her lips was no longer there, her expression cold and her deanor chilled along with the emotions on her face.
A shadow passed in front of her; it was Wesley Foley putting so at into her dish. As soon as Titus Zane looked up, she heard Wesley Foley say with a smile.
"Eat more at to gain weight. Look at Director Moore’s secretary, so plump and sexy, a sexy woman attracts care."
Wesley Foley’s praise for Tilly Zimrman had shifted from yesterday’s; yesterday, it was about being cute, now, it was about being sexy.
The implication in his words was unmistakable to anyone.
It was nothing more than a ssage to Titus Zane that Nathan Moore is an unreliable man – having left the apartnt this morning, and now ambiguously close with his own secretary.
