Nathan Moore’s handso brows furrowed slightly, the "Mrs." Aunt Liu ntioned was self-evident.
With a faint hum, he gripped Titus Zane’s hand and strode into the villa, leaving the luggage to the driver.
"Nathan..." Upon seeing the man at the doorway, Olivia Zane grasped at him like a lifeline, just about to approach him when she saw their intertwined hands and stopped her steps, her own hands involuntarily curling up by her sides.
Nathan Moore glanced over indifferently, his noble face revealing no particular emotion.
He took out a pair of won’s house slippers from the shoe cabinet, placed them on the floor, then found a pair for himself. Titus Zane kept her eyes downcast; even though she had been mistreated by Ariana Evans and Olivia Zane, showing off her affection in front of Olivia Zane still inevitably made her feel guilty.
After changing into the house slippers, Nathan Moore walked into the living room with Titus Zane, looking at Olivia Zane with a faint expression, "Is there sothing?"
Two words, indifferent and distant.
Being treated so coldly by Nathan Moore, Olivia Zane felt bitter inside. She gathered her courage and stepped forward, looking up with her porcelain doll face and hesitated before speaking.
"Nathan... Mom was taken away by the police, and Dad has been hospitalized. Could you please help, at least get Mom out first?"
eting Olivia Zane’s hopeful gaze, Nathan Moore smiled and replied, "Sorry, I’m a lawful businessman; I don’t engage in illegal activities."
Having said that, he turned to the woman beside him and gently patted Titus Zane’s bottom, "Go ahead and start filling the bathwater in the room, I’ll be up shortly."
Looking at Olivia Zane, Titus Zane hesitated for a mont, said "okay," then lowered her head toward the stairs. Once she stepped on the stairs, she quickened her pace, eager to escape this awkward situation.
"Nathan..." Olivia Zane took a step forward, reaching out to grasp Nathan Moore’s hand with a pleading look, her lips trembled, "Please help my mother," she quickly invoked their decade-long relationship, fearing another rejection.
"For the sake of our ten years together, please..."
Looking at the teary eyes before him, if this were before, Nathan Moore would have felt heartache. Her porcelain doll face always bore an innocent smile, but behind that innocence lurked a malicious heart.
Despite the malice, there were still ten years of affection; Nathan Moore took a deep breath, his handso brows slightly knitted, yet he said nothing.
"Nathan, I beg you," as she spoke, Olivia Zane’s tears spilled out, rolling down her face in a tragic beauty.
A tightness in his chest, a suffocating feeling, before he could react, he heard Olivia Zane continue, "Please, for the years you’ve been with , try to find so connections," Olivia Zane whimpered with pursed lips.
"Mom was taken away, Dad is in the hospital, and I’m so scared being ho alone..."
Being pampered and raised as the beloved daughter, Olivia Zane’s sudden helplessness and panic were why she ca to Nathan Moore for help.
Originally intending to refuse directly, but seeing Olivia Zane’s fragile and helpless appearance, Nathan Moore said indifferently, "I’ll try to find so connections," eting Olivia Zane’s hopeful gaze he suddenly changed his tone, "However, don’t get your hopes up too high, after all, this is a society governed by law."
Having said that, he lifted his hand, gently brushing off Olivia Zane’s grip, "Just got off the plane. I’m very tired and need to rest."
After speaking, he walked past Olivia Zane towards the stairs and loudly instructed, "Aunt Liu, please see the guest out!"
Olivia Zane turned her head, watching the man’s resolute back, covering her lips, her tears flowing uncontrollably like a breached dam.
