Evander Lancaster was just about to get angry when he heard Titus Zane continue to accuse.
"You always claim to be my family, but when have you ever been by my side when I face danger? You say it’s for my happiness, but in truth, it’s all for your own selfish desires! Worried that my being with Nathan Moore would sha the Zane Family, you sent to Capital City, and condemned Nathan for imprisoning back then, yet your actions are even worse! Not allowing to leave the compound, having people tail my every move! Even when Nathan imprisoned , I had the freedom to go in and out as I pleased!"
After Titus Zane finished yelling, the hospital room fell into silence. Abigail Zimrman stood in front of her, wanting to co forward to comfort her but hesitated.
Alder Locke lowered his gaze, completely concealing his emotions.
Only Evander Lancaster, standing in the middle of the hospital room, having listened to Titus Zane’s accusations, his cheek showed bite marks.
After a long while, he finally dropped a sentence, "Obstinately foolish!" and then turned and strode away.
Already frightened and drained from the outburst, Titus Zane had no strength left and sprawled defeatedly on the hospital bed, her body feeling like it had been drained of all energy.
"Titus," Abigail Zimrman finally dared to co over, sitting beside the bed, she grasped Titus Zane’s hand with a look of full of pity, "I’m sorry, you’ve been wronged..."
Titus Zane slowly raised her eyes, her gaze slightly vacant as she looked towards Abigail Zimrman, her lips trembled, and her voice was filled with grievance, "Aunt, I want to see Nathan... I’m worried, he was stabbed so many tis..."
In the suburban hospital, Nathan Moore was still in the ergency room, more than three hours had passed, and the light of the ergency room was still on.
Little Li sat in the corridor on a rest chair, looking serious.
The doctor had just co out... The patient had lost too much blood and they’ve issued a critical condition notice.
Little Li hesitated whether to call Miss, after all, he was a close relative, and he did it for her...
Putting aside Nathan’s identity, as a businessman who fought valiantly with bare hands against viciousness, he was full of admiration.
In such a short ti, he had found the whereabouts of Miss, and had dashed over at the first opportunity. Hesitating, the corridor suddenly filled with the sound of hurried footsteps, and Little Li turned his head only to see a woman in a patient’s uniform, draped in a long cotton coat, walking towards them.
"Little Li, how is Nathan? Is he in danger?"
Passing by the woman, Little Li nodded slightly as a greeting to Abigail Zimrman who was following behind.
"Little Li, speak to , how is Nathan Moore? Is it very dangerous?"
Seeing Little Li remaining silent, Titus Zane grew even more anxious, continuously shaking Little Li’s arm, tears about to fall.
"Miss, don’t worry, he is still being rescued inside," Little Li forced a smile, suppressing the sorrow in his expression.
Only then did Titus Zane feel a little relieved and slumped onto the nearby seat.
Abigail Zimrman had already co over, "Did you greet the hospital director?"
"Yes," Little Li nodded, lowering his gaze, unwilling to let Titus Zane peer into the sadness in his eyes, "and two doctors have been dispatched from the Military District Hospital."
"Oh, then that’s good." Abigail Zimrman also sat down, patted her chest, not having seen the bloody scene firsthand and recalling how strong Nathan and Little Li were in their struggle, she thought such a strong man couldn’t be hurt too badly, so her heart also settled down.
Titus Zane stared intently at the ergency room door, her hands tightly clutching the hem of the cotton coat.
"Madam, please co out with for a mont." Little Li glanced at Titus Zane, quietly got up, and Abigail Zimrman paused, seeing Little Li’s look, she also followed him quietly towards the fire escape.
