"Screw you!" Felix Shaw tossed the lighter over, and Evander Lancaster caught it with a flick of his hand while Nathan Moore buried his head back into his cards, his handso face showing that perennially unchanging emotion.
Nicholas Croft also lit a cigarette for himself and casually offered one to Nathan Moore. After taking a puff, he turned to Felix Shaw and said, "Felix, Mia Foster is a good woman. Treat her well in the future. As for that Elizabeth White, forget her after you’ve had your fun."
Elizabeth White wasn’t an artist under his company and wasn’t very famous, but Nicholas Croft knew all about her reputation. In their circle, there were hardly any secrets.

Felix Shaw took puffs from his cigarette and fiddled with the cards in his hand, muttering, "What’s so good about her, she’s a prudish woman," utterly charmless. He was looking for a wife, not a secretary.
Nicholas Croft shook his head helplessly. Even though they were good brothers, it wasn’t his place to say anymore.
Nathan Moore played with the cigarette Nicholas Croft had given him, rolling it between his fingers, his gaze downward. But in his mind was the image of a woman’s eyes filled with anger and accusation. He had been too aggressive last night... He wondered how long it would take for her body to recover.
He knew that her words were just spoken in the heat of the mont; as a man, he was well aware whether she had been with Logan Ray or not.
He rembered the first ti he forced himself on her, her bedsheets were stained with blood, she pushed against his chest, crying and begging for rcy, "Nathan Moore, be gentler, please..."
It hurt him a lot at that ti. So, he didn’t want her to have it any easier. It seed only fair that they both shared the pain rather than him alone.
"Big bro, your wife just had a miscarriage, and now you’ve hurt her again. I guess you don’t plan on having kids anymore." Lost in thought, Evander Lancaster’s sarcastic words brought the other two n’s gazes back to Nathan Moore.
"Big bro’s mighty, he’s hurt his wife again?" Felix Shaw leaned back, smirking as he smoked, and Nathan Moore glanced at him dispassionately without responding, then turned to Evander Lancaster with an annoyed expression, "When did you join the blabbermouth club?"
"Big bro, we’re all brothers here, I’m looking out for your best interest," Evander Lancaster replied nonchalantly, "You’re almost thirty, and Lily’s condition right now isn’t suitable for having babies. So it’s up to your wife to carry on the lineage for you. If you break her, you’ll regret it in the future."
Nathan Moore’s handso eyebrows furrowed as he was about to blow up, but Nicholas Croft, being the oldest brother, spoke up, "Nathan, if sister-in-law has done any wrong, being trapped by you for nearly a year is punishnt enough. If you’re comfortable with it, then live well together. If you don’t have that intention, then let her have her freedom as soon as possible."
Nathan Moore’s fingers tightened around the cigarette, his downcast gaze hiding his emotions. He didn’t say anything, his eyebrows knit together, and he threw the cigarette onto the card table, "I just rembered, I still have so unfinished business, I have to go back. Let’s et up another ti."
Having said that, he walked over to the coat rack, picked up his overcoat, draped it over his arm, and left with long strides.
