Oliver Shaw just chuckled and said, "Look at , getting all excited in my old age, Mia, I didn’t scare you, did I?"
"No," Mia Foster shook her head, feeling that Uncle Shaw did it on purpose.
"Oh, that’s good, that’s good," Oliver Shaw smiled and nodded, "Go ahead, Felix is working overti in the office,"
"Okay," Mia Foster slightly bowed and stepped aside, waiting until Oliver Shaw entered the elevator before heading to Felix Shaw’s office.
She lightly knocked on the door, and upon hearing a "co in" from inside, she pushed the door open. In the office, Felix Shaw was sitting at his desk, engrossed in sothing.
Mia Foster walked in, gently closed the door and as Felix Shaw was flipping through docunts he asked, "Are those docunts printed yet?"
Clearly, he mistook her for the secretary, Mia Foster turned her eyes, playfully saying, "No, I..."
"No, what—!" Felix Shaw looked up displeased, his voice abruptly stopping upon seeing Mia Foster entering.
His serious expression softened, "You’re here,"
"Yeah, I got off work early, had nothing else to do, so I ca to see you."
As Mia Foster spoke, she walked slowly over. The woman in love behaved differently than usual: her purse hung behind her back, swaying gently with her steps, which resembled leisurely strolling when bored.
Felix Shaw’s handso eyebrows briefly furrowed, the mont fleeting, and Mia Foster, imrsed in her happiness, did not notice.
Felix Shaw smiled, "Have a seat, I still need to work a bit longer."
"Okay, I’ll keep you company." Mia Foster sat down on the sofa, Felix Shaw gave her a slight furrowed look, then buried his head back in work.
This was Mia Foster’s first ti seeing Felix Shaw work; head down, eyebrows slightly knitted, his deanor serious, his face devoid of any frivolous smile, replaced instead by solemnity.
Leaning in the sofa, Mia Foster propped up her face watching him, discovering that whether he was working or being informal, Felix Shaw always looked so handso.
Handso enough to make her unable to look away.
"Could you make a cup of coffee?" Felix Shaw suddenly looked up, Mia Foster startled, though not exactly peeping, still felt a bit embarrassed that Felix Shaw caught her staring at him. She smiled and said, "Sure, but I don’t know where the pantry is,"
"Out the door, turn left, it’s the second room."
"Wait for a mont, I’ll be right back." Mia Foster stood up and walked out of the office, her slightly shy deanor eliciting a soft laugh from Felix Shaw.
As Felix Shaw worked overti, his secretary was busy running around printing docunts, so Mia Foster temporarily took up the secretary’s role, helping Felix Shaw with fetching tea and water, and when she saw him stop to stretch his neck, she stood behind him and gently massaged it.
In reality, she could assist with the work too, but worried that Felix Shaw might misunderstand, as every company has its business secrets, so she settled for making coffee and massaging his shoulders.
It was past eight when Felix Shaw finally finished his work, stood up and picked up his coat, "Let’s go, are you hungry?"
Felix Shaw took her to a regular restaurant right across from the office, a noodle house not very big, with ingredients not so exquisite, two stir-fried dishes, two bowls of noodles.
Maybe because he was very hungry, Felix Shaw kept his head down, devouring a big bowl of noodles hungrily.
"Working overti again?" The restaurant was quiet at this ti, not many custors around, the owner ca over and sat at the next table starting a conversation.
"Yeah," Felix Shaw looked up and smiled at the owner, then resud eating his noodles.
