"Don’t rush," Felix Shaw, contrary to his usual deanor, embraced Mia Foster’s waist, and in front of his father, looked affectionately at Mia, saying, "You forgot, mom said she would cook hotown dishes herself. If you leave, wouldn’t it be a waste of mom’s efforts?"
"Your mom is cooking herself?" Oliver Shaw took off his coat, handed it to the maid casually, and walked towards the sofa, "It seems we’re in for a treat tonight."
Oliver Shaw’s behavior was very natural. Ever since lody Zachary got hooked on playing cards with the ladies club, she rarely stepped into the kitchen. The als were handled by the maid, so tasting dishes made by her was a rare privilege indeed.
"Yes, mom said she wanted Mia to stay over at our house," Felix kept his arm around Mia’s waist, his gaze firmly on his father. Oliver had already sat down on the sofa and hadn’t gone to change his clothes as he usually did when he ca ho. He was still wearing his white dress shirt and hadn’t even undone his tie, simply saying "Okay," and casually picking up the newspaper to read.
Felix’s eyes narrowed slightly, he leaned close to Mia’s ear and said, "Mia, go, have a chat with dad."
Oliver was still looking at his newspaper, but Felix could tell, as he spoke, his father’s eyebrows slightly knitted together.
Under Felix’s urging, Mia reluctantly sat down, and because of their earlier encounter, even pretending was sowhat unnatural. Before she could start speaking, Oliver already put the newspaper down.
"Mia, how are you getting accustod to working in the country?"
"It’s fine, it’s all market developnt, not much difference between here and abroad."
"Oh, that’s good," Oliver nodded, then casually adjusted his tie, an act Felix noticed, revealing a band-aid on the neck where "a mosquito" had bitten his father that morning.
A cold sneer in his mind, is this an attempt to conceal sothing?
He raised an eyebrow, feigning casualness, "Dad, what happened here? Are you hurt? Why did you stick a band-aid?"
Oliver touched the spot with the band-aid, "Eh, don’t know what bit , I only noticed at noon, scratched it a few tis and it got infected, even bled,"
"Really? Let see, maybe we should call Evander to have a look," Felix stood up and walked over, without hesitation, lifted the band-aid that was sticking to his father’s neck, and indeed, as Oliver had said, the skin underneath was swollen and red.

Felix opened his father’s briefcase, scanning the entire contents before grabbing the ointnt, and following the instructions, he applied it to his father,
