Titus ran into the bathroom to throw up and didn’t eat breakfast afterward; he returned to his room on the fourth floor, wrapped himself in a shawl, and sat on the soft cushions of the terrace, staring blankly ahead.
He knew that Olivia had done it on purpose. The ti he almost vomited his entire stomach on seeing the milk before him, he didn’t believe Olivia was unaware of the reason.
The season was almost to the Start of Sumr, and although a slight breeze caressed his body and face, it carried a chill.
Like his heart, ever since stepping into this prison, it had never been warm again.
Titus tightened his shawl and brushed the breeze-tousled hair back behind his ears, his eyes gazing into the distance, sowhat dazed.
The bedroom door gently sounded twice. Titus turned his head and saw Aunt Liu pushing the door open, followed by a woman in a white lab coat.
"Aunt Liu, she is..." Titus stood up from the cushion, wrapped in his shawl and walked back into the room.
"Oh, Miss Zane, this lady is a doctor summoned by the master, to check on your injury," explained Aunt Liu.
Upon hearing the term "injury," Titus imdiately froze over in deanor.
"No need, Aunt Liu, please escort this lady out!"
"Miss Zane, this... would that be alright? The master personally called Doctor Li to send her over..." Aunt Liu looked troubled, while the female doctor stood silently beside her, carrying a dical kit.
"I said no need! Isn’t that clear enough? I want you to leave my room imdiately! Imdiately!" Titus’s emotions flared, already tornted by the private nature of his injury, and now they insisted on making it known to the entire city before giving up!
"Get out! I’m telling you to get out! Who let you in?" Seeing the two people not moving, Titus, losing control of his emotions, pushed them outward. He had just forcibly moved the woman with the dical kit to the front of the door when a voice devoid of warmth ca from overhead.
"I let them in."
Titus stopped his pulling, looking up at the man who stood a good half head taller than him.
His cool eyes had misted over with anger.
"Nathan Moore! I don’t need it! If you want revenge, stop pretending to be a good person!"
"I have no interest in pretending to be a good person," Nathan responded indifferently, his hands in his trouser pockets, his face showing no reaction to Titus’s anger.
"Then what is this now!" Titus raised his voice uncontrollably.
"I just don’t want you dead so soon, because..."
Nathan t Titus’s gaze, his own dark eyes as cold as ever, mirroring his forthcoming words.
"I haven’t tornted you enough yet. Wouldn’t it be too cheap to let you die so easily?"
At the end of his sentence, Nathan’s cold lips unexpectedly curved into a slight smile.
Titus...
Clenched the doorknob tightly, his gaze fixed intently on Nathan’s eyes.
His barely parted lips trembled slightly with anger and then, he curved a corner of his mouth.
"Nathan Moore, since you don’t want to let off easily, then don’t bother calling a doctor for . Wouldn’t it be better to let die on my own?"
Titus laughed, the curvature of his lips made even more poignant by the teardrops hanging from his curled lashes.
Like a sorrowful fairy in a painting, tragically beautiful enough to shatter hearts.
Yet Nathan remained unmoved, locking eyes with Titus and parting his thin lips to utter two words.
"Not good."
He continued as Titus seed on the verge of exploding.
"I’ve said it, I don’t want you to die too easily. Living and being defiled by is the greatest punishnt for you."
"Get lost!" Titus summoned all his strength to roar out the word, slamming the door shut on the unfeeling man outside, and the mont he turned around, it was as if he’d lost all strength, slumping powerlessly against the door.
