Mia Foster was not weak, and those two words couldn’t even be associated with her. When Felix Shaw violated her, she imdiately lifted her leg and kicked out in anger.
Her ankle was gripped tight by Felix’s large hand as he lifted it up, and with that, his handso face buried in her chest smiled seductively, his peach blossom eyes sparkling charmingly. Amid Mia’s furious gaze, he planted a soft kiss on her stocking-clad foot and said teasingly, "So eager, huh? I’ll satisfy you now..."
Seeing the man on top of her, one hand holding her ankle and the other undoing his belt, Mia’s face flushed with urgency. "Felix Shaw, if you dare! I will sue you for marital rape in court!"
"Rape?" Felix’s belt was half undone when he pressed his face closer again, with a mocking smirk. "Mia Foster, we’re lawfully wedded. What rape?"
Mia hated Felix for his shalessness, regretting that she was blind to have fallen for soone like him. A novice in matters of love and sex, yet so adept.
With displeasure in her heart, she raised her hand and slapped him. The smack was crisp, and the face that had been nearing her jerked to the side with the sound.
The air felt as if it had frozen. The surrounding silence was deafening, and Mia could hear her own heartbeat clearly.
Looking at Felix’s tense profile, Mia knew he was going to be furious. But even his fury was far better than the humiliation he was offering.
Lying on the desk, ti passed without the explosive anger she expected. Felix’s handso face was still turned aside, and from her angle, Mia could only see his side profile, not able to discern his current expression.
"Mia Foster, this slap... I deserved it. You said we would give each other a year. Now, it’s not even half a year yet. I won’t give you the chance to accuse of breaking my promise!"
Having said that, Felix stood up and left, walked around the desk to sit in his office chair. Opening a file, he spoke with a serious expression, "Go ho first. I will pick you up after work."
Mia thought it was just a casual remark. But when she left the office after work, she saw Felix leaning against the car smoking.
In the past, she used to love seeing him leaning against the car; handso and dashing, carefree... As if all the adjectives in the dictionary could not fully describe his perfection. But now, seeing Felix standing in front of the office, she felt as if worlds apart.
She took a deep breath with downcast eyes, then turned back to the elevator. If he wanted to wait, then let him wait.
More than half an hour had passed, the office staff had almost all left, and Mia Foster was still nowhere to be seen. Discarding the half-smoked cigarette, Felix reached into his shirt pocket for his phone and dialed Mia’s number.
It was hung up after just one ring. Looking at his hung-up phone, Felix dialed again, with the sa result. It was clear Mia didn’t want to answer his call.
Pocketing his phone, Felix walked towards the office building, stepping up the stairs with his gaze cast downwards, masking his emotions.
Having been to the office before, he knew which floor Mia’s office was on. Entering the elevator, he directly pressed the number, standing a bit further back. Reflected in the elevator doors was his serious face.
It was past working hours, and the corridor of the floors was unusually quiet. Passing through the cubicle area, Felix had arrived in front of Mia Foster’s office door.
