"Sit down," lody Zachary was just getting up when Oliver Shaw snapped her back, inserting the steel spoon into the ice cream and saying unhappily, "You’re so grown up and still can’t take care of yourself? When I was his age, I was already a father."

"Go ahead, I didn’t ask the chef to make it too big, you should be able to finish it." Oliver Shaw said, seeing that lody was just looking at it, and further explained, "I also didn’t ask for candles to make a wish, those are all a sham, not a single wish cos true."
"Thank you," lody pulled the cake over, picking up a fork to take a bite. The cream clearly tasted sweet, yet she found it bitter, like Oliver Shaw’s outdated tenderness, which used to be so inevitable, but with ti passing, she is no longer accustod to it.
Seeing lody eat slowly, Oliver Shaw also picked up a fork, "I’ll taste it too, what’s so great about it, you won all seem to love it."
He said, forked a piece into his mouth, frowned and complained it’s too sweet. Despite saying this, he still accompanied lody to finish the small cake, then got up, "Let’s go, I’ll take you back."
In front of the apartnt, lody watched Oliver Shaw’s car drive away before turning to enter the building. As the door closed, she wiped the corner of her eye and headed towards the elevator.

"Yes, has Seraphina finished her howork?" Oliver Shaw picked up his daughter, walking briskly towards the sofa.
"Finished," Seraphina answered crisply, "Seraphina is really good," Oliver Shaw sat on the sofa holding his daughter, not seeing Vanessa Armstrong’s figure, he asked, "Where’s mom?"
"Mom ate sothing bad and is throwing up in the bathroom."
"Ate sothing bad? Seraphina, sit tight here, Daddy is going to check on mom." Oliver Shaw frowned in confusion, placing his daughter on the sofa and heading towards the bathroom.
Vanessa Armstrong was kneeling in front of the toilet, having vomited up all the food she ate in the evening and was still dry heaving, her ponytail high and now disheveled over her shoulders.
"How did it get so bad? What did you eat tonight?" Oliver Shaw ca over and crouched down, gently patting Vanessa’s back.
