Oliver Shaw’s body trembled, then he opened the office door and walked out.
Outside the door, Secretary Chen was still on guard. Seeing the president co out, she respectfully stepped aside and lowered her head. As Oliver Shaw left, Felix Shaw also erged from the office, casually closed the door, isolating the wailing of the adulterous couple inside, and calmly instructed, "Secretary Chen, call an ambulance. Madam and the assistant had a small accident."
Respectfully replying "Yes!" Secretary Chen swiftly took out her phone.
In front of the Hutton Corporation office building, an ambulance roared in. Watching the president’s wife and assistant being lifted into the ambulance, the employees were very curious about what had happened. So inquisitive ones went to Secretary Chen to inquire but hit a wall; a scandal in the president’s family—who dares to gossip with outsiders unless they don’t want to work anymore?
Returning to his office, Oliver Shaw no longer had the aura of authority he had monts before. As the office door closed, his shoulders drooped, and he slowly walked to his desk, sitting in the executive chair. Looking ahead, he seed to age significantly in an instant.
eting Vanessa Armstrong was a coincidence. She was young, energetic, and her words easily made him happy. Being with her felt like he was much younger. Their daughter, Seraphina, inherited her mother’s genes—a sweet mouth as if brushed with honey...
Thinking of Seraphina, Oliver Shaw suddenly got a grip, alard. Since Vanessa dared to cheat right under his nose, would Seraphina...
Considering this possibility, Oliver Shaw rose from the executive chair and strode out of the office.
Bringing down Vanessa Armstrong was a way to vent his mother’s anger. Felix Shaw could see that his father was heavily shaken, betrayed by the woman he cherished most, right under his eyes. Any man in this situation would feel deeply humiliated.
However, he felt no sympathy. After deceiving his mother and him for over a decade and ruthlessly driving his mother out of the house, such a man deserved to grow old alone!
...
Two days later, Oliver Shaw instructed his secretary to arrange a temporary shareholders’ eting. During the eting, Oliver voluntarily resigned, passing the president’s position to his son and requested that they support Felix Shaw’s work as they had supported him. After the eting, Oliver called his son into his office.
Seeing his obviously disheartened father, Felix leaned languidly against the desk with a half-smile, half-mocking expression, "What? Unwilling to accept it?"
Not waiting for Oliver to speak, he continued to taunt, "Actually, you don’t need to do this. At least, I’m your biological son, no doubt about that, so you don’t have to worry about the company changing its na."
Facing his son’s sarcasm, Oliver Shaw said nothing. He opened the desk drawer, took out a docunt, and pushed it towards his son, "This is the stock transfer agreent. I’ve kept 5% for retirent, and the rest goes to your mom. Take it back and have her sign it. Once signed, it will take effect."
Felix Shaw picked up the docunt, glanced through it briefly, then looked at his father incredulously, "Are you really willing to give this up?"
Oliver Shaw leaned back in the executive chair, hands resting on the armrests with a self-mocking smile, "Ha, what’s there not to give up? Anyway, it’s all yours in the future."
Seeing his father’s forlorn appearance, Felix Shaw suddenly realized that in just two days, his father’s temples had noticeably grayed.
Even though he felt no sympathy for his father, seeing him age in an instant made him sowhat uncomfortable. He lowered his eyes to look at the docunt in his hand and said indifferently, "My mom is very busy lately, afraid she won’t have ti to sign."
