Mia Foster went abroad without any sign, dragging her suitcase to the airport, once again leaving this city that made her both sad and unforgettable.
Initially, she returned for Felix Shaw, and now, she left because of him.
Who was it that said, if you can neither forgive nor let go, then leave and start a new life in a strange environnt.
So, she left, ready to embark on her new journey.
For two consecutive days, Felix Shaw hadn’t seen Mia Foster leave the company, and at night, her room was no longer lit. Finally, he couldn’t resist ringing the Foster Family’s doorbell, and the response he got was, "Mia went to the overseas branch and will never return."
Back in his car, Felix Shaw called Mia Foster, but the receiver showed that the number he dialed was no longer in service...
On the way back, Felix Shaw stared straight ahead, his handso face grim. Returning to his apartnt, he didn’t even have ti to change clothes before turning on his computer, tapping away on the keyboard.
He knew the Foster Corporation had a branch overseas but didn’t know which city it was in. After a flurry of searches, he finally found the answer: the branch was in state D in Arica. Staring at the introduction of the branch on the screen, Felix’s slightly narrowed eyes seed to be contemplating sothing.
A week later, after arranging all his work, Felix Shaw flew to Arica, found a hotel to stay in, and the next morning took a car to the branch.
Looking at the Foster Corporation’s logo on the office building, Felix pushed open the revolving door and walked in. At the front desk, he used his fluent English to communicate with the staff, saying he was looking for his wife, nad Mia Foster...
Hearing the manager’s na, the receptionist was obviously surprised; the blonde, blue-eyed girl with a fair face showed exaggerated expressions, courteously asking Felix to wait, then picked up the phone.
After so exchange, the girl asked Felix to wait a mont, and soon, the desk phone rang. The girl listened to the call while looking at Felix, her blue eyes visibly changing.
After hanging up the phone, the girl started lashing out at Felix, scrunching her nose in anger, "You liar! Almost fell for your trick!" After cursing, she called security, and without giving him a chance to explain, Felix was thrown out.
Outside the company’s main entrance, Felix barely had a chance to co closer to the glass door; the two security guards who had chased him out were already waving their batons at him. Seeing that he wasn’t approaching anymore, they turned back to the company. Felix sighed and sat on the edge of the office building’s steps, looking at the traffic on the street.
He couldn’t believe that Mia Foster would live in the company.
Sitting on the steps for a while, under the blazing sun, Felix furrowed his brows, pondering whether to find a shady spot or keep waiting here. As he hesitated, voices of conversation ca from the side.
Instinctively turning his head, he saw a man and a woman coming out of the company; the man was also of Asian descent, dressed in a business suit, and the woman wore a light gray suit, her short hair making her look even more shrewd.
The two were conversing in English as they walked out of the company, the man holding a docunt as if they were discussing work matters.
Felix Shaw slowly stood up, a murmur involuntarily escaping his lips, "Mia?"
It was only a week, yet she seed like a completely different person, her long hair cut short. Although she looked sharp and capable, he still preferred her with long, flowing hair, because she seed so gentle then.
