Looking at the man in the photo surrounded by won, with one of them even kissing his cheek directly, Mia Foster’s hand holding the phone trembled slightly. Even though she was usually calm, such an eye-catching photo felt jarring to her eyes. After exiting the news, Mia was unable to calm down for a long ti. Raising her chin, she swore angrily, "Felix Shaw, I won’t trust you anymore!"
At the Arican airport, Felix Shaw walked out from the VIP channel, pulling his suitcase. Dressed in a set of ash-gray sweats and pants, he stood out even in a foreign country. Thinking about soon eting Mia Foster, his handso but tired face could hardly hide his joy.
With the long New Year vacation, he could stay in the U.S. for five days.
After finishing her last task, Mia Foster left the office after work in the evening. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, Steven British walked over from across the hallway, holding a bouquet of lilies, his fair handso face displaying a gentle smile.
"Mia, Happy New Year!"
Mia Foster was dumbfounded because, abroad, no one except her compatriots would rember the Chinese New Year.
Standing dazedly in the elevator, she only ca to her senses when Steven blocked the door from closing, stepping out to take the bouquet and thanking him politely.
The two walked together toward the parking lot, with Mia Foster asking curiously.
"Steven, how do you know today is our country’s New Year?"
Steven tilted his head and smiled a little shyly, "I... specifically looked it up online."
Mia Foster...
Stopped walking, asking in bewildernt, "Why?"
"Because I wanted to understand more about your country’s customs and preferences." Steven said candidly. Perhaps this is the nature of Western n, enthusiastic and straightforward, laying all their thoughts and feelings bare before the other party, without any concealnt.
Mia Foster smiled faintly, didn’t speak again, and continued to walk toward her parking space, with Steven following her steps, his gaze openly admiring.
"Mia, I’ve reserved a restaurant to celebrate your country’s festival for you."
Since the first ti waiting at the company’s gate, Steven had invited Mia Foster nurous tis. Even though she always declined, he didn’t lose heart at all. Occasionally, he’d still co to the company looking for Mia Foster. It was only later Mia found out he was the cousin of her company’s administrative manager.
Mia Foster always refused before, but today, she agreed without a mont’s hesitation, "Sure, I was planning to go out to celebrate anyway."
Steven ushered Mia Foster into his car, courteously holding his hand over the roof of the car as he opened the door, and even as he walked around to the driver’s side, his steps were composed and gentlemanly.
One would think that a man inviting his favored woman for dinner would pick a romantic Western restaurant, but when Steven parked the car in front of the restaurant, Mia Foster realized it was a Chinese restaurant.
Even though she’d lived here for many years, she’d never heard of this Chinese restaurant nad "Taste of Ho."
Walking into the restaurant with Steven, seeing the waitstaff all dressed in uniform Chinese-style outfits, Mia Foster suddenly felt an overwhelming sensation of returning to her hotown.
Feeling touched by Steven’s thoughtfulness, but what moved Mia Foster the most followed afterward. When six dishes were laid on the table, Steven said with a smile, "I actually didn’t intend to order this much, worrying about wastage, but your country seems to have a saying, sothing like ’six six da shun,’ so I ordered these."
Seeing Mia Foster hesitating to touch the dishes, Steven continued to explain, "But I spoke to the owner, who made smaller portions, so we should be able to finish everything."
