Facing his stern father-in-law, Felix Shaw wasn’t afraid at all, nor was he nervous, since it was their daughter who wanted to have an affair, and if they wanted to argue, he could claim to be the victim.
"Dad, Mom, please sit down first and listen to my explanation." Felix smiled humbly. Edmund Foster coldly snorted and settled back onto the sofa, while Evelyn Bailey also sat down, watching her daughter hesitantly, on the verge of speaking.
"Dad, Mom, here’s what happened," Felix kept holding Mia Foster’s arm. The two stood before the elders like defendants under interrogation, "A few days ago, I flew to Arica, planning to take Mia to see the fashion week, but she ended up being harassed by a perverted foreigner, so... I brought her back."
Felix spoke naturally, as if it were genuinely the case, unafraid of Edmund’s stern gaze, he continued, "Dad, the security abroad is so chaotic. After returning this ti, I don’t plan to let Mia go back. For the branch office matters, you’d better appoint another manager."
"Is this your decision?" Edmund turned his gaze to his daughter, ignoring Felix’s previous words, and directly asked the main point.
"Dad, I will go back once things here are settled."
"How long will it take?" Edmund asked, seeming to see through Felix and his daughter’s indirect talk, it was clear to both that it was just about discussing the divorce.
Felix admitted his insensitivity but he wasn’t stupid; he could hear the underlying ssage between father and daughter. Imdiately, he placed his hand on Mia’s shoulder, pulling her close. Before Mia could reply, he laughed and said, "Dad, you don’t need to worry about what happened before. Mia and I have already reconciled."
After speaking, he looked down at Mia with a doting expression and asked, "Isn’t that right, honey?"
Ignoring Felix’s words, Mia seriously and confidently said to her father, "Very soon!"
"Mia, you two co and sit down, don’t just stand there,"
Evelyn got up again, longing to be close to her daughter as they hadn’t reunited for a long ti.
Mia was about to go over by herself, but Felix wrapped his arm around her and brought her along to sit beside Evelyn. Mia held her mother’s hand and called, "Mom," while Edmund spoke from the single sofa, ushering them out.
"It’s getting late, Felix, you should head back first and let them have so mother-daughter ti."
"Dad, it’s alright, I’ll stay with Mia." Felix shalessly insisted, having already made up his mind upon coming ho with Mia. No matter what, he wouldn’t let her stay at her parent’s house.
"Felix Shaw!"
Mia lowered her voice to remind him, "Can’t you go back first? My mom and I haven’t seen each other for half a year!"
The last ti they t was when her mother flew abroad specifically to see her.
"Honey, how can you not consider your husband? We’ve been separated for three years," Felix said with grievance, his large hand on Mia’s waist constantly kneading, "We just got back, are you willing to let your husband spend the night alone?"

"Felix Shaw, do you have any sha?" Mia snapped with clenched teeth, trying to escape Felix’s grip on her waist, but he only tightened his hold, and she didn’t want to make a scene in front of her parents.
"Honey, Dad and Mom have been through it, they won’t laugh at us."
After Felix spoke, Mia nearly got an internal injury from anger.
Felix’s shaless antics were sothing Edmund and Evelyn were rather used to; their daughter and he had been quarreling about divorce for three years.
Being respectable people, they couldn’t possibly forcefully eject him, especially since it’s already late; the neighbors would definitely laugh if they caught wind of it.
