Originally it was just a joke, but Nicholas Croft, whether he took it seriously or was in a good mood, turned to Evander Lancaster with a smile and asked, "Really?"

With a "snap," Nathan Moore tossed the lighter in his hand onto the poker table and stood up, "You guys chat, I’m heading out."
Watching Nathan Moore’s back as he walked towards the coat rack, Nicholas Croft exhaled playfully, saying, "Nathan, since you’re not interested, why not let go? It’s been almost a year, besides, she has soone else waiting to take over."
Nathan Moore took down his coat, turned to look at Nicholas Croft, and a hint of coldness curled on his thin lips, "Just because soone else is waiting to take over, I should let go? What about Lily? Is she just supposed to accept it?"
"Huff..." Nicholas Croft shook his head, exhaling smoke, and didn’t continue trying to persuade him. So things are clear only to outsiders; if he wasn’t interested in Titus Zane, why bring him to every party? In fact, he could easily go solo like a few of the brothers.
Feeling that his words might have gone too far, Nathan Moore put on his coat and said lightly, "Sorry, big brother, I wasn’t targeting you."
"I know," Nicholas Croft extinguished the cigarette between his fingers and stood up too, "Wait for , I’ll go with you."
Walking out of the club with Nathan Moore, Nicholas Croft didn’t head ho but drove to the nightclub.
It was almost midnight, and his "little kitten" should be off work by now.
After parking his car and entering the nightclub, he glanced toward the stage but didn’t see Sophie Foster, so Nicholas Croft headed straight to the bar.
With his arm lazily draped over the bar, he tapped his fingers, calling the bartender over while his eyes searched among the few custors, "Where’s little Sophie? I don’t see her."
If he rembered correctly, that was the na ntioned during the service.
"Sir, little Sophie left work a while ago."
"Left work?" Nicholas Croft abruptly turned back, "She didn’t work overti?"
"No, she left right after her regular performance."

He pursed his lips and sighed deeply, sliding his long fingers into the pocket of his coat to fetch his wallet. Pulling out a large bill, he slapped it on the bar before turning to leave.
He knew where Sophie Foster lived, having secretly followed her once.
Originally planning to return to the villa, he found himself unknowingly driving to Sophie Foster’s apartnt building.
Lowering the car window, he looked up at the window that had been lit last ti; the curtains were drawn tight, and the lights inside were off.
He really wanted to go up, scoop the little kitten into his arms, and sleep with her just like the night before, but it was too late. He couldn’t just disturb her family. After gazing at the window for a while longer, Nicholas Croft finally drove away.
Last night, Sophie Foster got off work early, and when her phone alarm rang, she had almost slept enough.
Feeling well-rested and full of energy, Sophie Foster went to freshen up in the bathroom first, then went to the balcony to make herself instant noodles.
While boiling water, she walked to the mini-fridge, opened the door, and took out an egg. As soon as the water was at the right temperature, she cracked the egg into it to poach it. Just as she did, there ca a knock at the door, not hurried, but very rhythmic.
Focused on making breakfast, she didn’t have the ti to wonder who would co at this hour. Tossing the eggshell into the trash, Sophie ran over to open the door, "Coming, coming,"
Unlocking the door and pulling it open, she saw the man standing outside and froze, holding her mouth in shock and forgetting to respond.
