Nicholas Croft wrapped his long arms around Sophie Foster’s waist, gently pulling her to sit on his lap. His long fingers brushed away the hair blocking her cheek and tucked it behind her ear, asking seriously, "Tell uncle, what’s your na?"
Sophie bit her lip, looking at Nicholas Croft’s focused, handso face, hesitating.
"Be good, tell uncle, uncle wants to know."
Seeing that Sophie just looked at him without saying anything, Nicholas had no choice but to take out his wallet and show her his ID card.
"This is uncle’s ID card, and this is uncle’s business card."
Sophie accepted only Nicholas’s ID card, her fingers gently swept over the place with his na, smiling to herself, "Nicholas Croft, Uncle, your na sounds really nice."
Looking at the adorable little thing in his arms, Nicholas continued to ask, "Darling, tell uncle, what’s your na?"
"Lara, my mom always called that," Sophie t Nicholas’s gaze, "My full na is Sophie Foster."

Pouting and frowning exaggeratedly, he seed quite skeptical. Sophie jumped off his lap, walked to the coat rack, opened her backpack, took out her wallet, and showed her ID card to Nicholas.
Looking at the na on the ID card, Nicholas laughed, "Lara, you must have been really cute when you were little, otherwise why would your parents give you such an adorable na."
"Maybe," Sophie couldn’t hide her sadness at the ntion of her mother. She sat down next to Nicholas, sighing toward the front.
Just as she sat down, she let out an "Ah..." and then rushed to the balcony in her slippers.
Nicholas glanced over, confused. On the balcony, even Sophie’s back exuded frustration.
"Uh-huh... My fried egg..." It got burnt, all because the handso uncle ca over neither early nor late, but right when she was making breakfast.
"What happened?" Nicholas also went to the balcony, where Sophie lifted the milk pot with a pout to show him, "Got caught up chatting with you, it’s all burnt now."
"If it’s burnt, then don’t eat it. Uncle will take you out for breakfast." Nicholas took the scorched pot and placed it on the small countertop while reaching over Sophie to turn off the induction cooker.
"No need, I have to go to work."
Sophie turned back to discard the burnt fried egg, opened the tap, and began washing.
"Work? Which company do you work at during the day?" Nicholas frowned; he had just seen her birthday on the ID card, which indicated she had just turned eighteen. Normally, at that age, she should still be in school, and without graduating from college, it’s hard to find a job.
"With my kind of education, I’m not getting into any company," Sophie said self-mockingly while scrubbing the pot with a wire ball.
"Then what kind of work do you do?"
Nicholas frowned even more deeply, unable to imagine this young girl already stepping into society to work hard for her living.
"Distributing flyers, no education needed." Sophie placed the now clean pot on the counter, turned around, and said, "Uncle, it’s not that I’m driving you away, I’m going to be late, so..."
"So what?"
Nicholas opened his arms to wrap them around Sophie’s waist, smiling teasingly.
Sophie pursed her lips, "If you don’t mind, do co over to visit next ti."
Sigh...
Nicholas exhaled, pinching Sophie’s nose, "Lara, with uncle here, I’ll never let you suffer again!"
"Why?" Sophie frowned in confusion, Nicholas cupped her cheeks earnestly and said, "Because uncle will take care of you."
