Once again, hearing Ethan Grant admit to her identity as his wife, Serena Sullivan looked up, stunned, watching his straight back, his cold and stern voice crashing into her, spreading through her limbs, reaching her heart.
And the heart began to race, faster and faster; so things she dared not imagine or face, but couldn’t help thinking about.
Finn Chandler and Anna Morgan stood outside, watching Ethan rush out to block the scalding hot water for Serena. Hearing him say those words left them dazed and bewildered.

He slowly looked past, his cold eyes sharp and piercing, scrutinizing Zoe deeply, seeing through her dark intentions.
She wanted to cover up, wanted to explain, but as she opened her mouth, every word seed stuck like fishbones in her throat, unable to co out.

Claire Sullivan hastily helped explain upon hearing Zoe ntion jail, her words barely falling when her gaze landed on Serena’s face, whose mocking eyes made Claire feel fraught and helpless.
"Zoe was wrong, but not to the extent of death."
Joel Quinn followed out to speak; at Ethan Grant’s sudden appearance, he who had been calmly sitting on the sofa in control beca agitated, suffocated under Ethan’s young presence, unable to remain composed.
"Convicting her based on Sean’s few remarks—there’s no evidence."
Claiming Zoe colluded with Sean to ruin Serena, all this was Sean’s shouting.

They conduct affairs cautiously, how could they leave any incriminating evidence!

Serena being taken away by Zoe, he knew things were not simple.

They should thank their stars Serena was okay; otherwise, he feared he couldn’t control himself from doing sothing regrettable!
Claire Sullivan and Zoe Quinn wanted Serena to endure grievances, shifting the bla; he wouldn’t allow, absolutely wouldn’t.

This remark made Anna Morgan’s blood boil, wondering if Ethan was madly protecting his wife! She turned to Finn Chandler, whispering, questioning her own sight.
Finn didn’t reply; he lowered his head, his gaze falling on Serena’s hands.
After Ethan appeared, Serena tensed up entirely, the veins bulging on the back of her hands. How could she not see Ethan fiercely protecting her?
