When Serena Sullivan returned, Ethan Grant was not there. The servants were tidying up, and upon seeing her return, they greeted her and continued with their tasks.
Distractedly, she pushed her wheelchair inside. As she approached the doorway, she felt the wheels sliding quickly and looked down to see water all over the tiled floor.
Looking up again, she saw Mrs. Zimrman coming over with a bucket, water dripping from the cloth in her hand, splattering onto the floor.
"Mrs. Zimrman, could you wipe here a bit?"
Serena said casually; the floor was too wet. Although her wheelchair was stable, she worried it might be affected.
Mrs. Zimrman sneered, throwing the bucket heavily to the ground, causing the water to spill out, making the surroundings even wetter.
"Ma’am, we’re mopping the floor; of course, it’s wet."
"If you’re afraid of slipping, just walk slowly."
Mrs. Zimrman straightened up, smiling as she spoke.
Earlier that morning, she had shown the eldest Young Master the photos of Serena with soone surnad Chu. Once the Young Master returned, he would definitely kick Serena out of ’Willow Yarrow,’ completing her mission.
So, upon hearing Serena ordering her to work, Mrs. Zimrman decided to tear off the pretense.
Anyway, today Serena was definitely going to be thrown out by the sir!
Having Mrs. Zimrman nonchalantly insult her, no, callously accusing her of being ’useless,’ Serena was montarily stunned. She had long noticed sothing off about Mrs. Zimrman, and Ethan had asked if she wanted to have her sent away, which she refused.
Simply because she found out Mrs. Zimrman was bought by Zoe Quinn.
Seeing Mrs. Zimrman’s arrogant attitude now, it seed the person supporting her wasn’t Zoe Quinn.
What did Zoe Quinn even count for in the eyes of the Grant Family’s servants!
"Mrs. Zimrman, I’m in a wheelchair and can’t stand up."
Serena chuckled softly, "You’re diligent; could you please clean the floor by yourself?"
Her words were neither loud nor soft, but they were sharp, and the servants in the corridor outside stopped their work upon hearing them.
They were hired by Ethan Grant from outside, who usually handled the cleaning and kitchen work. Most of Serena’s personal care was done by Mrs. Zimrman, who ca from the old Grant estate, often acting superior to them, which they didn’t like.
Serena had limited mobility but was beautiful and very polite to them, and they could see the sir treated Serena well.
Seeing Mrs. Zimrman openly defying Serena now, soone imdiately went out to make a phone call.
Ethan had specifically instructed them not to let Mrs. Zimrman bully the lady of the house.
"You want to work alone!"
Mrs. Zimrman raised her voice. Having taken care of a ’useless person’ for such a long ti, she was full of frustration. Since Serena was going to be kicked out anyway, she wasn’t afraid to break the facade.
"Ma’am!"
"I call you Ma’am, and do you really think you’re Mrs. Grant?"
Mrs. Zimrman sneered mockingly. She looked at Serena sitting in the chair, only finding this woman utterly laughable.
Before her legs were crippled, Mr. Grant and the others were strongly against Serena being with the eldest Young Master. Back then, they even locked the Young Master up for a long ti to break them apart.
Now... haha!
"Haha!" Serena laughed out loud, having two people tell her the sa story in one day.
She didn’t need them to remind her; she knew the Grant family’s elders’ attitudes four years ago.
Serena looked at Mrs. Zimrman, slowed her voice, and smiled slightly, "Mrs. Zimrman, your attitude today is very strange!"
Mrs. Zimrman dared to defy her today; what evidence did she have in hand?
"Mrs. Zimrman, whose person are you?"
Before Mrs. Zimrman could answer, Serena asked again.
"Mr. Grant? Or Mrs. Grant!"
