"What’s going on here!"
Renee Grant saw Serena Sullivan’s people confronting her own in the Lockwood territory and ordered sharply, "Bring them up."
Serena turned her head towards Sister Ann, who was red-eyed with anxiety, and smiled, "Don’t let go. If they force their way in."
"Mr. Grant will be here soon."
Serena added another sentence, and only then did Sister Ann slowly release her grip.
If she were truly scared, Serena wouldn’t have co.
Coming here ant she was too bored at ho and wanted to see what tricks Renee was playing.
When the spotlight focused on Serena, the whispers in the banquet hall began.
It wasn’t that Serena was particularly beautiful, but she was sitting in a wheelchair, and quite a number of people recognized her from Ethan Grant’s sensational wedding.
"Isn’t this Ethan Grant’s newlywed wife? Why is she here?"
"Renee brought her over. Could it be that the Grant Family agreed to Serena entering the family!"

So disdain Serena, while others sympathize with her. Serena was brought to Renee, she looked up and softly called with a smile, "Sister."
Renee was taken aback by Serena’s proactive approach, her expression stiffened, she was the eldest Miss of the Grant Family, Mrs. Lockwood, and didn’t easily lose her temper with the likes of her.
Renee regained her graceful deanor, stepped closer to the microphone, and spoke solemnly, "Everyone knows that Ethan recently got married."
Many present had been guests on that day.
"In front of , sitting in the wheelchair is Ethan’s newlywed wife."
The dia reports about Ethan Grant’s wedding all claid Serena forced Ethan to marry her.
But the sharp-eyed socialites attending the Lockwood family banquet knew Ethan Grant was not soone who could be easily coerced; they would’ve sent their daughters over long ago, especially to marry soone who was crippled.
If Ethan wasn’t willing, no one could force him.
Renee glanced down at the guests who were gossiping, her eyes skimd over Serena, who was smiling, and her lips curled as she continued, "Four years ago, she took five million from the Grant Family and agreed to leave Ethan."
"Unfortunately, she didn’t keep her promise."
The mont her words fell, the guests looked at Serena in shock, even those who had felt sorry for her now showed disdain.
This was disgust towards Serena’s breach of promise!
"Since she’s returned and married our Ethan..." Renee slowed her voice, turning to Serena, "Serena, our family isn’t that heartless."
Whether the Grant Family was heartless, they knew best themselves.
Serena smiled and responded appropriately, knowing Renee’s invitation to the stage was not rely to speak such courteous words.
In the past, the Grant Family strongly opposed her and Ethan; now, only more vehently.
"Going forward, make sure to stay well with Ethan."
Renee’s expression turned cold, her voice dimming; she was much older than Ethan and favored by the elder Master Grant and the old lady, treating Serena with the attitude of an elder admonishing a junior.
The sound of "smack" followed by a flash, and the incriminating photo on the large screen hanging on the wall suddenly flicked on, grabbing everyone’s attention in the banquet hall.
"What is that! Serena with another man."
Upon clearly seeing the two people in the photo on the screen, a voice rang out in shock.
