"Yes!"
Ruth Hale’s gaze fell on Serena Sullivan as she responded, a mocking smile playing at the corners of her eyes, as if she were ridiculing Serena for sothing.
"He likes coming to my place."
Saying this, Ruth pulled the man who had been standing at the door into the office. Standing at 5’10", his appearance was not particularly striking, and he seed to be at least seven or eight years younger than Ruth.
Yesterday, she was fooling around with Joel Quinn in the office, and today she’s brought a boy toy to The Sullivan Corporation. What is she trying to prove!
Serena smiled slightly, lowered her head, and continued with her work.
"Darling, aren’t you hot? Why don’t you co to my office for a bit."
Seeing that Serena ignored her, Ruth deliberately softened her voice and said to the man beside her, and the two of them left the design departnt office hand in hand.
"When did Ruth start dating a new boyfriend?"
After Ruth left, the office imdiately erupted with gossip about her.
"She had one for quite so ti already."
A more in-the-know colleague replied first, "She’s always had a mysterious boyfriend; it must be this one."
"He looks quite ordinary. What does Ruth see in him?"
Besides being a bit young, Ruth’s boyfriend’s looks were really quite average. Ruth herself wasn’t particularly striking, but she had a haughty elegance and knew how to present herself.
"Who knows about these things, but the fact that Ruth brought him to the company shows she really likes this boyfriend."

Listening to their chatter, Serena curled her lips into a cynical smile.
Since Ruth had a mysterious boyfriend already, why suddenly bring him out!
Did none of the colleagues notice who this young man’s back resembled? She certainly did.
Standing at 5’10", if dressed like Joel Quinn, from behind one could easily mistake them for the sa person.
It must be because they discovered the watch left in her possession and had seen the contents captured on that video, so they found a man with a similar back profile to Joel to fill in.
Serena put down the pen in her hand and looked at the new draft sketch on her desk.
Ruth and the others were too nervous; even if they didn’t bring a man to pretend to be the boyfriend, she wouldn’t foolishly report to Claire Sullivan with a video that didn’t show any faces.
The point of recording it was to confirm whether the two really had sothing going on.
The fact was, at most, she’d use it to make Joel Quinn and Ruth Hale nervous.
It indeed made Joel Quinn and Ruth nervous. First, Ruth brought her "boyfriend" around for a spin. Rumor has it the two even locked the office door and had a long private eting inside.
When they ca out, Ruth looked flushed, and her clothes were disheveled.
Seeing that scene, everyone knew exactly what the two locked themselves in the office to do.
Not long after Ruth and her boyfriend left, Joel Quinn sent soone to get Serena to co over.
The first ti Claire Sullivan brought Joel Quinn out to have a al with her, Serena didn’t have a bad impression of him.
When she was born, her father was already gone; or more accurately, Claire never ntioned who Serena’s biological father was.
Although she had the support of her grandparents, it was still tough for a single woman raising a child alone.
Serena understood this from a young age. She worked hard at her studies and didn’t do anything out of line at school, just to make things easier for Claire.
