There were other people in the office, and Serena Sullivan’s rebuttal left Claire Sullivan feeling embarrassed.
Claire had never publicly announced her estrangent from Serena as mother and daughter. For one, she felt it was shaful; secondly, she didn’t want to.
"Serena."
Claire spoke calmly. In fact, she didn’t want to use this tone with Serena right off the bat, but in Serena’s eyes, she didn’t even have a mother.
"Was it you who arranged what happened to your uncle?"
"Hmm?"
This caught Serena’s great interest.
What situation is this!
Zoe Quinn was afraid Serena would explain or deny it. Even if Serena hadn’t arranged the incident, she couldn’t be completely uninvolved.
So, she spoke before Claire could, "Sister, Dad wasn’t unkind to you normally, why did you get soone to break his hand?"

Serena was stunned for a mont. Was it true?

Soon, Ethan Grant’s hostile face popped into Serena’s mind. That crazy guy, Ethan!

Serena drew out her response, indicating she got it.
Then, she slowly continued eating, without any other reaction.
"Serena, was it you!" Claire asked again.
As long as Serena said "no," Claire would believe her, but Serena had no interest in explaining.
Too many explanations in the past had been useless, why waste her breath?
"Sister."
Serena’s silence was even better for Zoe, who continued to put on an angry expression and let the tears flow.
"Dad put so much effort into arranging your entry into The Sullivan Corporation. I even gave you my shares. What are you still dissatisfied with?"
Originally, everyone in the office was in the cafeteria eating or relaxing outside. Hearing the commotion here, they all ca back to watch the spectacle, as did people from other departnts.
Zoe preferred a crowd. The more people there were, the more refined her crying act beca to humiliate Serena.
"Miss Quinn even gave her shares to Serena."
As soon as the tears started, so colleagues couldn’t handle it.
Most of the design departnt were Ruth Hale’s people, so of course, they stood by Zoe.
"Miss Quinn is so kind and generous, while Serena went and had President Quinn’s hand broken!"
Claire hadn’t intended to directly question Serena about Joel Quinn’s injury in front of so many people, but Zoe had called her out first.
Now hearing her own territory, her own employees mocking her daughter, she didn’t feel all that comfortable inside.
The drama queen act, shedding tears again! Serena was about to get sick of watching Zoe.
She raised her head, asking helplessly, "Your dad’s hand is broken; why co asking !"
"I’m poor and crippled, where would I find soone to break your dad’s hand?"
Serena seriously suggested, "Call the police!"
Call the cops to get Ethan Grant locked up.
"You..."
Serena wasn’t afraid to say "call the police," leaving Zoe not knowing what to cry or shout!
If they could call the police, they would have done so long ago.
They’re obviously unable to find evidence; the person who beat up Joel Quinn isn’t ordinary either.
Instead of calling the police, they might as well keep a close watch on Serena here.
Serena knew what Zoe was up to; she just wanted to say, what a joke!
