Ethan responded, observing Serena’s eyes fixed ahead, his heart aching, knowing she was upset. He wanted to comfort her, but then he heard her say, "Let’s go to the hospital."
Due to the absence of her biological father, Serena had been very mature since childhood.
She knew that Old Mr. Sullivan and Claire worked hard for the corporation. When she was young, they had no ti to care for her, so she must have taken good care of herself, sparing them from worry.
As she grew older, Claire was taken by Joel and Zoe, and after losing her legs in a car accident, she beca even more afraid of losing people close to and caring about her.
Ethan, worrying about her sorrow, had rushed to the hospital upon hearing Old Mr. Sullivan was unwell.
The old gentleman was aged, and over the years, he’d worried himself sick about The Sullivan Corporation and Claire; his life was hanging by a thread.

Outside the hospital ward, Zoe and several relatives from The Sullivan Family stood there.
Seeing Ethan pushing Serena over, the relatives stepped aside to make room.
Serena approached and heard Claire crying inside, becoming more anxious, with Ethan increasing his pace in pushing the wheelchair.
Zoe, who was sobbing, didn’t let them pass but stepped forward to block Serena’s path.
"Sister, you can’t go in."
In the current situation with the old gentleman, Serena was eager to go inside, but Zoe blocked her from entering.
"Dad and Mom are inside with Grandpa; you can’t go in and disturb them."
Zoe raised her voice, saying.
The old gentleman still held thirty percent of The Sullivan Corporation’s shares, and whoever was by his side at the last mont had the greatest opportunity.
If the shares were given to Claire, it would an they belong to her and Dad.
The fear was that if Serena entered, the old gentleman might, confusedly, allot a large portion of the shares to Serena.
"Yaya!"
Serena didn’t have ti for idle talk with Zoe; when force is necessary, it’s best to solve things with force.
Standing at the back, Yaya quickly stepped forward. Zoe knew this young girl’s prowess; she resisted her fear, looking tearfully at Ethan.
"Brother Ethan, my parents and Grandpa have much to discuss; you can’t..."
She saw Ethan move, quicker than Yaya, reaching her first, believing he would help stop Serena, but Ethan directly pushed her away forcefully.
At this critical mont, Ethan was even more anxious than Serena; such minor matters didn’t require Yaya’s intervention—he resolved them himself.
Zoe, having suffered nurous setbacks at Ethan’s hands, couldn’t hope he would lend her his aid.

"It hurts!"
Zoe’s body crashed heavily against the wall, tears flowed from the pain, she cried out in grievance, then looked up at Ethan, who stared at her coldly, while Serena herself was pushing the wheelchair into the ward.
"Sister, going in now, what are your motives!"
"Grandpa is about to pass; can’t you let him stay a little longer with Mom?"
Her words were spoken beautifully, masking Zoe’s inner selfishness and maliciousness.
Claire was Old Mr. Sullivan’s only daughter, and it appeared Serena’s anxious entrance was interrupting their final father-daughter conversation, implying ulterior motives.
But Zoe should not forget, Serena is the old gentleman’s only granddaughter!
