Serena Sullivan usually doesn’t worry about Finn Chandler, but today she was drugged heavily.
Seeing Zoe Quinn’s expression, it’s clear how dangerous it would be for Finn to be alone.
"I followed your instructions and took Finn away," Anna Morgan continued to say, recalling what had just happened.
"But shortly after, we ran into Sean Lockwood."
"I was afraid Sean would discover Finn, so I left her in a corner, planning to send Sean away and co back for her imdiately."
"Who would have thought..."
The more Anna spoke, the redder her eyes beca, and when tears fell, she quickly wiped them away with her hand.
"When I ca back, she was gone."
After searching around without finding Finn, she imdiately went back to the lounge to find Serena.
But sothing happened at Serena’s side too, with reporters and Grant Family mbers around, she couldn’t just speak out.
"Serena, do you think Finn is okay?"
Anna crouched down, holding Serena’s hands, and asked anxiously.
If anything happened to Finn, she’d be the sinner.
"She was drugged. If so man picks her up and takes her to bed..."
Anna couldn’t bear to think further about that possibility.
Serena frowned, understanding the gravity of the situation as well.
"Don’t worry."
She turned her head to see Ethan Grant waiting not far away, rubbing her fingers against her leg, "Anna, go find Carter Lockwood."
"You don’t need to say much to him, just tell him you need his help to find Finn."
Carter Lockwood is very clever; he understands and won’t expose anything.
If Anna finds him, he will surely do his best to help.
"Alright!"
Anna imdiately agreed, trusting Serena, and thought Mr. Yama was reliable too.
"Shall we go back?" After Anna left hastily, Ethan Grant ca over and asked.
With Finn suddenly missing, Serena had no mind to go back.
"Did sothing happen?"
Ethan, earlier seeing Anna with red eyes talking to Serena, sensed sothing was up, though he didn’t hear the details.
Serena didn’t reply. The fewer people who knew about Finn’s situation, the better.
However, now...
"I will handle it carefully."
After being with each other for so many years, sotis just a glance could convey understanding.
"Finn is missing."
There was no other way; every second Finn’s situation grew more dangerous.
Anna had already sought Carter’s help, and finding soone needs as many people as possible.
"Alright, I’ll take people to find him."
Ethan readily agreed, and as he turned to leave, Serena reached out and held his hand.
"Ethan."
The simple utterance of "Ethan" seed to pierce Ethan as he’d seldom heard her call him that since she returned.
"This must be kept secret," Serena instructed uneasily, "No matter what you see or find, don’t ask more questions!"
Finn was wearing Zoe Quinn’s dress; Ethan and his team would certainly find it odd when they found her.
For Finn, her identity was of utmost importance.
However, to Serena and Anna, her well-being was more vital than anything else.
"Understood." Ethan nodded solemnly as he agreed.
He took a few steps, and again, Serena’s gentle voice reached him, "Thank you!"
Ethan turned around, giving Serena a smile, "Serena, for you, I’d do anything!"
"Just hoping you..."
Hope she stays and doesn’t leave, hope she gives him a chance, hope she doesn’t hate him so much.
The words lingered on his lips but were never spoken.
After Ethan left, Yaya wheeled Serena back to the banquet hall to wait for news.
As they reached the entrance of the banquet hall, a group of people approached.
"Mr. Sterling will arrive soon, remind everyone to be ready."
