"It’s definitely the two of you!" Renee Grant stated firmly.
Ethan Grant dismissed Renee’s words with disdain and said helplessly, "It really wasn’t us!"
"Sis, I’m at odds with the family because of Serena, but there’s no reason for to do such a thing to my brother-in-law."
"Drugging soone — tell why would I do that?"
Ethan Grant feigned a puzzled look, staring at Renee, waiting for her response.
Renee considered why Ethan would say that!

Ethan did it to take revenge for what happened four years ago.

Renee laughed as she realized, "Ethan, you’re taking revenge on ."
"Sis, if you have evidence, show it; if not, Serena and I are leaving."
With Ethan leaving, rumors about Felix Lockwood cheating would spread wildly, and she would have no dignity left.
After that, those upper-class won would mock her behind her back!
Renee couldn’t stand this!
She watched as Ethan guided Serena towards the doors of the banquet hall, growing anxious. "Because four years ago I drugged you, so today you drugged your brother-in-law, right!"
No matter how shocked the guests were by what they heard, Renee could no longer care.

The murmurs arose, and couldn’t be silenced; the news was too explosive.

"Renee must be insane! Why would she give that kind of drug to her own brother!"
Many were puzzled by the reasoning behind this; after so discussion, everyone quieted down, looking at Ethan.
Ethan didn’t stop; instead, he pushed Serena forward even faster.
This matter was going to be exposed today — he was not afraid of it, it was all orchestrated by him. The only worry was whether Serena would still want him, if she’d reject him.
Approaching the door, Ethan stopped, and Serena stopped too.
The news shocked Serena as well.

"Sis, so you still rember this," Ethan turned around, asking with a cold smile.
"I thought you’d long forgotten. To force to separate from the person I loved, you drugged and sent a woman into my room," Ethan finished, sending a wave of shock through the banquet hall again.
Renee, trying to sabotage his relationship with Serena, drugged Ethan, wanting him to sleep with the woman. That way, Ethan would betray Serena, upon her return and with Renee’s interference, a rift would form between them.

"Is everyone eager to know whether I ended up sleeping with that woman?"
Ethan turned his back to Serena, surveying the guests, speaking with a cold smile.
Of course, everyone present wanted to know the result, including Serena.
However, as Serena recalled everything about returning and being with Ethan, she speculated a conclusion.
