Sitting in the sa car with Ethan Grant again on the way to The Grant Corporation, though they didn’t speak, it wasn’t as awkward as their previous rides.
At the entrance of The Grant Corporation, many young n and won were scattered around, looking up towards the group’s main entrance.
Serena Sullivan, who had been gazing out the window, noticed them and felt a bit puzzled.
Are they here for an interview at The Grant Corporation?
It didn’t seem likely; they appeared to be about seventeen or eighteen, and most of them were girls.
"Madam, let take you up."
Without realizing when the car had stopped, Ethan Grant got out, wordlessly lifting Serena onto a wheelchair, then walked to the other side while Yvette Sterling wheeled Serena to report to the design departnt.
The building before her was four stories high, constructed in a circular shape, with important departnts housed inside, each building connected by sky bridges.
The design departnt Serena was heading to was in Building Two, connected to the administration building where Ethan worked.
The project "Infatuation" was sothing Ethan valued greatly, hence they had cleared out an office next to the third-floor design departnt specifically for her team.
As Serena entered the elevator in Building Two, her phone vibrated with a text ssage, which she opened: "Serena, run quickly!"
The ssage, sent by Anna Morgan, left Serena utterly baffled.
"I’m at The Grant Corporation, what’s going on?"
"Madam." After sending the ssage, Yvette Sterling behind her said, "Here we are."
Yvette guided her out, and as they approached the office entrance, both sensed an off-key atmosphere.
While it’s busy in the design departnt, it shouldn’t be so quiet as to not have any chatter; the silence was strange.
"Assistant Sterling, Sean Lockwood is here."
Upon seeing Yvette enter, the design departnt staff reported this and then glanced at Serena sitting in the wheelchair.
The five significant families in Solaria include The Grant Family at the top, followed by the Fu, Mo, Lockwood, and Xie families. The Grant and Lockwood families are related by marriage, and their powerful status in Solaria is self-evident.
Serena suddenly realized why those young fans gathered at the entrance, they must have been following him.
Another ssage from Anna Morgan: "Sean Lockwood is here for you, run quickly."
Serena tucked away her phone, deciding not to reply to Anna just yet.
Sean Lockwood had returned to Solaria sooner than she expected.
"Serena!"
An angry voice called out, and just as Yvette began dialing Ethan’s number, having heard that Sean Lockwood had arrived, he spotted an exceedingly handso man marching aggressively towards Serena. All the n in The Grant Family boasted excellent looks, none more so than Ethan Grant and Sean Lockwood.
With his breathtaking appearance, despite his temper, he had risen to stardom in the entertainnt industry over the years, amassing fan after fan.
Yet, he was infatuated with Zoe Quinn; the eyes of The Grant Family n were notoriously blind.
Anna’s ssage urged her to run, but knowing Sean Lockwood’s fiery temper, even hiding wouldn’t help.
"You damn well hit Zoe!"
While filming abroad, Sean Lockwood got wind of the news that during the Grant-Sullivan wedding, Zoe Quinn went missing, forcing Ethan Grant to wed Serena.
Disregarding his manager’s persuasion, he rushed back to the country imdiately.
Last night, Zoe Quinn called him, claiming Serena had attacked her.
Having no ti to even return ho, an enraged Sean Lockwood headed straight for The Grant Corporation to confront Serena.
"Sean, you mustn’t!"
Yvette hurriedly put away her phone, blocking the path between Sean Lockwood and Serena. No matter if Sean were the nephew, Mr. Grant wouldn’t tolerate an attack on his wife.
"Move aside!" Sean Lockwood bellowed, "She assaulted Zoe, I won’t let her go."
As he shouted, he inadvertently glanced down at Serena, his body stiffening, filled with disbelief.
