The old master replied, but the identity of an illegitimate daughter is unfair to Serena Sullivan.
If it weren’t for the incident with The Ford Family back then, Claire Sullivan would definitely have married Simon Sterling, but there’s no "if."
"This matter is decided." Not giving Jas Sterling a chance to resist, the old master directly had him seized and sent to the police station to resolve the household registration issue.
Jas had heard of people being forced to accept a mistress, but never of being forced to accept a daughter.
The whole situation was indeed strange. If the old master really liked a girl he picked up, he could have adopted her as a goddaughter, but insisting she’s an illegitimate daughter is just causing trouble!
The old master finished handling the matter of recognition with Jas and returned to the ward.
Serena Sullivan sat in her wheelchair looking out the window.
Outside was full of flowers and plants; the cold winter had just passed, and the breath of spring had arrived. She slled the fresh air and felt sowhat comforted.
"Serena, the matter is settled."
The old master said with a cane, "However, we need to give you a new na."
"Nancy Sterling, how about it?"
"That’s fine!" Serena had no objections; it was just a na.
The old master took a few steps forward, seeing Serena gaze unwaveringly outside; he paused and said, "The identity of an illegitimate daughter is very unfair to you!"
"It’s just the fact!"
Serena replied lightly. She was the daughter of Simon Sterling and Claire Sullivan, and since these two weren’t married, born before marriage, what else could she be but an illegitimate daughter!
"Rest assured, in the future, I’ll help you..."
Illegitimate daughter! Who knows how it’ll be talked about!
"No need."
Serena’s attitude made it really hard for the old master to understand her.
He had suggested bringing her to The Sterling Family, and Serena agreed.
Now, with the matter settled and Serena entered into the household registration under the eldest son’s na, his heart was troubled.

Serena followed up, turning her head, pursing her lips, and looking at the old master.

"Old master, could you give a phone?"
Serena turned her wheelchair and asked.
"I’ve been gone so long, they must be worried sick."
Now that she was in The Sterling Family, and with things spoken openly, the old master wouldn’t refuse her the phone.
"I’ll have Butler Lowell bring it over."
"Thank you!"
Serena said politely, her detached attitude allowing the old master to remain in the room.
The phone was soon delivered, and when Butler Lowell left the room, he saw Serena’s thin face through the slowly narrowing gap, thinking to himself: this is no reconciliation, surely she’s here to stir unrest for The Sterling Family!
Oh well, even so, the old master had accepted it.
Alone in the room, Serena sent a ssage to Finn Chandler.
"I’m in Imperial Capital!"
Finn knew, and naturally, everyone else knew too.

Serena thought, let’s wait a bit longer.
Finn didn’t imdiately call or ssage back, probably busy, so Serena held the phone on the bed, closing her eyes as the seawater rushed in, covering her features, suffocating and terrifying! She reached out in the water, hoping for rescue, but was kicked deeper and deeper from the shore.
"Go die! You go die!"
All around were such vicious and sharp voices, until finally, Serena could no longer withstand it and opened her eyes, the depths in her gaze, her hands gripped tight on the phone.
Simon Sterling! Why do you all want dead!
