Waiting for Finn Chandler’s emotions to settle down, Serena Sullivan briefly explained her situation.
There were too many things she couldn’t explain clearly over the phone in such a short ti, she only ntioned that Mr. Sterling rescued her, and she’s now in the Imperial Capital.
"I’m coming over right away."
Finn Chandler also had many doubts to ask Serena; she couldn’t wait, not even for a mont.
"Okay!"
Serena agreed; she was alone in The Sterling Family and needed Finn Chandler’s help.
Returning to The Sterling Family, she didn’t know what kind of conflict her identity would cause within The Sterling Family, nor did she know how Simon Sterling would deal with her next!
Her surgery was done, but her legs hadn’t healed, so she had to be extrely careful about everything.
"Should I talk to Ethan Grant about this?"
Before hanging up, Finn Chandler thought of Ethan Grant, who had been acting recklessly and was almost going mad because of Serena Sullivan.
"How’s he doing?"
Serena asked.
"He’s going crazy!" Finn Chandler replied; she had seen him from afar at The Grant Corporation a couple of days ago — he had lost a lot of weight, looked haggard, lacked any semblance of Mr. Grant’s flair.
"He’s desperately challenging The Sterling Family, according to Julian Ford, he’s competing with The Sterling Corporation for a plot in the Imperial Capital."
"Oh!"
It seems Ethan Grant will also be heading to the Imperial Capital soon.
Finn Chandler continued, "Now that Mr. Sterling has rescued you, he should ease up."
"No need."
Serena refused, "Let him be."
"And don’t tell him I’m in The Sterling Family."
Finn Chandler knew Serena had her reasons for doing this and didn’t press further.
Before hanging up, Serena asked, "Are you close to Julian Ford now?"
"Cough, cough, cough!"
Finn Chandler choked on her words and coughed repeatedly; she hadn’t said anything, yet Serena had sensitively guessed it.
"I’ll hang up first, call when you arrive."
Serena didn’t pursue the matter further and ended the call first.
Finn Chandler looked at the darkened screen and quickly went to the dressing room to find clothes.
Everything here was won’s clothing; she had to change into a set, then go to her place to put on n’s clothing.
Before leaving, she called Julian Ford, who didn’t answer.
She changed to sending a ssage, "Dear, there’s so trouble back ho, I need to return for a bit."
Sweet-talking, Finn Chandler had learned quite a bit lately.
"Okay!"
Julian Ford responded with just one word.
Finn Chandler didn’t mind, she put away her phone, placing it in her coat pocket, and left Julian Ford’s apartnt with her suitcase.
Imperial Capital, The Sterling Family
Serena Sullivan was taken back to The Sterling Family by Mr. Sterling and settled in the old mansion.
Mr. Sterling lived separately from Simon Sterling and Jas Sterling.
In the old mansion, without Mr. Sterling’s permission, neither Simon nor Jas could move in; only Wyatt Sterling and Mindy Sterling had rooms reserved, including Felicity Sterling who wasn’t allowed to stay even briefly.
Suddenly, the arrival of Eldest Miss Sterling in the old mansion aroused widespread discussion. Mr. Sterling kept her well hidden; except for a few people in the inner residence, those in the outer residence hadn’t seen this young lady.
Rumors had it she was Mr. Jas Sterling’s daughter from outside, and also that her health wasn’t good.
