"Mr. Sterling, was my mother the other woman?"
Serena asked with a smile, once more.
"Mr. Sterling, am I the Sterling Family’s daughter?"
The wheelchair rolled forward, heading in the direction where Mr. and Mrs. Sterling stood.
Serena persistently questioned Simon, even the most inattentive person could sense the anomaly within.
Serena is the illegitimate daughter of the main Mr. Sterling, the one she should be questioning is Jas, how did it beco Mr. Sterling?
Yet the old man, after declaring Serena’s identity, sat upright without stopping Serena from continuing.
Strange! This is truly strange!
"Yes!"
Amidst the guests’ discussions, the silent Mr. Sterling spoke, responding with a single word.
The light voice made Mrs. Sterling anxiously tug at his sleeve, "Simon, this is the private matter of our brother and sister-in-law, you can’t decide!"
Serena had disappeared for three months, everyone thought she was dead, including Simon.
Now, she suddenly appeared at the Sterling Family, and the deeply remorseful Mr. Sterling might let her go wild!
Later Serena said she was his biological daughter, he would nod and agree!
Thinking of this, Mrs. Sterling, who was previously waiting to watch Jas and his wife argue, couldn’t smile anymore.
"What is it?"
Serena didn’t give Mr. Sterling a chance to retreat, she just wanted to see if Simon dared to acknowledge her as his daughter!
A person abandoned for years, truly filled with hatred for him, seeing him now happy, as his daughter, Serena doesn’t want him to live well!
She wanted him to recognize her in front of so many guests!
Of course, if he recognized her, the Imperial Capital would be stord.
The Sterling Family! The Ford Family, they would all be engulfed by rumors, and Simon’s past with Claire would inevitably be unearthed, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling would beco laughingstocks in others’ eyes.
All happiness would beco illusions, completely destroyed.
Seeing Serena appear, Mr. Sterling knew what she wanted to do in her heart.
The pain in his heart surpassed reason at this mont, he reached out to loosen Mrs. Sterling’s grip, amidst Serena’s questioning, he stepped towards her.

"She’s my daughter!"
A voice overpowered Mr. Sterling’s, it was Jas, speaking first, he passed by Mr. Sterling to stand in front of Serena.
"Daughter, it’s father’s fault."
Jas gently apologized to Serena.
His gesture brought back Mr. Sterling’s rationality, Mr. Sterling stopped moving forward, looking at Serena smiling at him.
The distance between them was only a few steps, Mr. Sterling did not move further.
Serena pursed her lips and smiled, she knew this would be the outco.
Simon dared not recognize her! He didn’t dare!
After a wave of pain in her heart, Serena’s smile grew wider.
"What’s your na?"
Jas asked again.
Serena withdrew her gaze and replied, "Nancy Sterling."
"Alright!"
Jas said the word twice in succession, he stood up, walked behind Serena, his hand falling onto her wheelchair. "Dad, I’ll take Nancy back to Southwood to rest first."
Southwood is Jas’ residence.
This result was not surprising to the old man.
Simon is too deep, unlike Jas who acts freely. He is cautious, he thinks things over thoroughly, naturally he wouldn’t rashly recognize Serena in front of so many people.
It’s good that Serena was taken away by Jas, but there’s likely to be more gaps between the father and daughter.
"Alright!"
The old man nodded in approval.
"I’ll push it!"
As Serena was about to be wheeled out, the responsive First Mrs. Sterling stepped forward and changed her attitude, speaking to Jas.
